It was just an idea, a suggestion. I understand that the hints don't make sense - if only because of the vivid reaction here. It could be something else, something that changes from time to time and encourages people to come back to this unique truck stop.

I thought it was kinda a cool idea. They could just drop a hint there like a week before release or something to avoid setting something up that won’t come to fruition for a while.

I've been active on many threads on this forum. One that I remember very well is this one viewtopic.php?p=987442#p987442.

Once Carthoo left SCS and that thread got locked, that was the change for teasers and we only get them on the Xmas stream. There was also a HUGE debate about covered trucks. I know because I was in one of those conversations as well and it did not go over well here in the community when SCS started doing those blue tarped trucks. Good idea...sure but we've already discussed teasers years ago and we won't get them in the game itself. It will be word of mouth by SCS whether its blogged or hinted on one of their streams.

It’s only a matter of patience now. They have already teased so much and so much they haven’t. The current teasing scene is fine - to have most teasers reserved for the Christmas stream, rest with little hints and even surprise drops.

Earlier it was a matter of priority, given the limited resources, so teaser about what is being worked on made sense. Now it’s as though they are working on everything.

Yeah I can agree with that....they working on everything. So we really don't need constant teases because we haven't even gotten half the things teased from the past 2 Xmas streams. So why pile on more and bring on even more expectations. Clear out the current list first. Then we get things like the Pioneer and that gets tossed in. There's enough truck wise in the queue already for us. No need to be greedy and want more.

Iowa 80 will be a nice attraction by itself just to have that area represented in the game. Piling on more to it if they can is cool but I'd keep expectations low.

I've always slotted Iowa in for June/July. With 1.55 where its at for ETS2, I wouldn't be surprised to if 1.55ob for ATS comes before this month is out. 1.55 could be the compatibility update for Iowa. That or 1.55 is very small and Iowa goes 1.56.

Mark said earlier this week that 1.55 would still be a long way from release, but I'd venture to say that the Open Beta should be released in early June, with a final release sometime in July.

But that was about the official release of 1.55, for all we know OB could start next week or the week after.
