*these DLC's, the cars will be put in different DLC packs, we assume separated by brands.

That’s not an assumption. They confirmed it, even logically that makes sense.

Chris Bacon: What to expect is a bunch of iconic cars of a brand along with their flagship pickup trucks (essentially 4-5 vehicles per dlc). So far, Ford,Dodge,Nissan and Toyota (?) has been confirmed.

It would be sweet to get Germany vehicles in ATS. SCS can visit Germany for reference very easy compared to coming to the US. Volkswagen, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche. The US is loaded in every major city with these luxury vehicles. Sedans, coupes and SUVs. If you want to sell car packs to US players, SCS has to do the luxury lines available here.

Good point on references, they really could be easy to find and get references, unless if they choose some model from 90's or 80's. I even suggested some BMW's on the PRT Car Wishlist topic. :D

Just a heads up, technical requirements for vehicles are a bit different between the US and Germany. Bumpers, lighting, (emissions... not relevant here) etc.
The same car models look slightly different. Not a huge problem though. Guess it could be manageable, though the licensing issue is probably the same as with trucks -- different people to ask, different lawyers to appease, etc.

Agreed. They'd obviously have to do US spec cars. I'm not saying put Euro spec in ATS. Not for paid licensed content. But they can easily go do sound recordings much easier. That too is part of references.

I can say there is Classic US cars in Europe. But I can't really say if it's useful if specs are different for them once brought to Europe.

If brought from the US to Europe, the changes is more than likely emissions related.
