The moderator's question for Pavel was whether they ever had a problem if they wanted to license a car but the developers were already using it in the game unlicensed and in AI traffic.

Pavel replies that they don't want to have AI vehicles as an exact replica of a real vehicle because it's already a risk on the part of the manufacturer that they could be sued even if AI vehicles drive anonymously (without the car company logo and vehicle name). When they consulted with lawyers, they were told that there was no reason to think they would be threatened with a lawsuit, but SCS did not want to take the risk. And that when they approached car manufacturers they always wanted to only feature current vehicles that are currently on sale in the game
