Hi everyone,

HORI Europe here. We are sorry to read here about issues with the Truck Control System, and we would like to let you know that we understand your concerns and want to assist each of you in resolving them.
In case you have not done so please reach out to our support email info@horiuk.com. We might need some more details about your set up, such as computer system, game version and so on, so we have a better grasp of the problem and can have our developer team in Japan investigate it. If you could provide as much detail as possible in your enquiry that would be fantastic, as it really helps speed along the diagnostic process.

Also: a big thank you everyone who has already reached out to us for your patience while we look into each case. We understand how bothersome controller problems can be when you just want to enjoy your game, so we are doing our best to give you quick support.
It's rare, however in any case where you have been waiting a while and have not heard back, please also drop us a message or a follow-up, we can let you know then what the status is.

Thank you!

Best regards
HORI Europe

I'm a little lazy to measure dimensions, but, do you have a link to the steering knob you put on your wheel?

Am I the only one having a high electronic tone noise when steering and a little deadzone of +/- 1*?

Really any knob meant for a car or truck will do for this wheel. Stop at your nearest truck stop, I kind of want to get one just cause I hit buttons when steering, but in an actual truck I've always hated them.

I Bought my Hori last November and everything worked great. I stopped using it for awhile and upgraded my computer along with switching to windows 11 (not sure if that has something to do with issue). I plugged it in and turned my pc on, the wheel didn't turn like it normally would at start up. I'm not sure if the device manager displayed the wheel turning when you turned it, but it just shows the wheel straight at all times in the app. I cannot do the center calibrate, it just states "at the current steering position, center correction cannot be made". In ATS all the buttons work on the wheel and shifter, also the pedals work. I can't figure out what to do. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers and device manager but that doesn't seem to do anything for me. Anyone have some troubleshooting methods or know of a way to test if the wheel is broken?

I got my HORI yesterday and just want to share quickly some first experiences.
(For comparison:
I used to drive with a Thrustmaster T500 RS and TH8A shifter for the last nine years.)

Pro's:
⭐️ really large wheel (T500 only ~30cm)
⭐️⭐️ up to 1800° like RL truck steering wheels (T500 only max 1080°)
⭐️⭐️ inclined like RL truck steering wheels (T500 almost not, racing wheel)
⭐️⭐️⭐️ multi-functional stalks
⭐️ button box
👍 all buttons are slightly numbered so they can easily be found and matched with in-game settings
⭐️⭐️ really a huge amount of buttons which is quite overwhelming at first - but it allows much more easily and intuitively to use a lot more game functions than before, i.e. zooming of the GPS map, engine break, hazard flashers, trip reset, etc.
👍 FFB noise is not audible on asphalt and only low and still acceptable on rough roads and terrain, at least when playing with headphones

Neutral:
  • pedal base is too light and therefore, slips easily on laminate - not such a big deal for me - even the significantly heavier T500 wheel's pedals slipped and needed to be fixed by other means. I put a wooden board between the pedals and the wall => now, there's isn't slipping anything any more ;)
  • no button back-light - certainly a problem for everyone playing flat monitor and in a dark room. I play only in VR, so I don't see the buttons anyway. I just learn where to find them one by one, as I was used to do before with my old wheel and the keyboard.
Con's:
  • almost plastic only
  • FFB really is quite light, imprecise and significantly not as smooth as my T500's belt-driven one before. Really feeling the teeths and notches a bit (although by far not as bad as with the Logitech GT I used to have 10 years ago before the T500 for some time), and especially driving on rough terrain doesn't feel as "real" and immersive as before. Needs some detailed setting in order to be acceptable (set FFB to "9" in HORI app; left 100% overall FFB in-game as before; but terrain and dampers 100%). Really bothers me the most and made me look for the Moza Trucking Bundle already... But after 24 hrs, I am still confident I might get used to it in the course of time ;)
  • second flaw: Due to the wheel being so large, I barely can reach keyboard and mouse on my desk. Not talking about the switches of my multiple socket outlet and the VR lighthouse below the desk, close to the wall. I already have some ideas about sawing a fitting cutout in the desk's table board, but I probably will do it only in a couple of days or weeks, when I got used to the wheel and I'm sure to keep it.
  • turn signal stalks unfortunately don't behave like RL ones, although it is very good and much more immersive to have them instead of using the T500 racing wheel's paddles.
  • although I am not a RL trucker, I can imagine and agree, that the inclination is a bit too flat: When sitting in front of the wheel, there's no chance to see the stalks. I solved this by using two small wooden wedges, pls refer to attached photos below.
Overall: 4 - 4,5 / 5 ⭐️

Certainly a huge improvement over beginner and main-stream racing wheels, and it greatly contributes to the immersion and atmosphere of driving a real truck, although "just" sitting in front of a PC. Especially due to VR, I fear, I won't be able to go back to my old T500 RS ;), because size, inclination, stalks and button box really add so much to the feeling 🥳 Definitely a must-have from a virtual trucker's point of view ⭐️⭐️

Nevertheless, I think it is a little too pricy considering the relatively weak FFB and that amount of plastic material - although this certainly is equivalent to the majority of gaming wheels on the market.
I was a bit lucky and got a reduced return for "only" 515 €, so I think, it's a bit more appropriate.
Just hoping, it is reliable and durable for the next upcoming nine years ;)✊🤞🙏

=> In total a recommendation for everyone who wants to give it a try, and it absolutely is a lot more fun to drive my trucks with than with the T500 before 🥳🤠 (despite the worse FFB).
(... as long as one doesn't own an upgradable Moza (base) already - under those circumstances, I'd assume the HORI is a downgrade from a FFB point of view for which the number of buttons and the button box probably aren't a compensation or game changer, and IMHO a Moza owner probably makes a better invest for almost the same amount of money buying the Moza trucking wheel and the separate stalks.)

In addition, just three photos of my HORI setup:

Hello Truckers,

I just got this wheel this week and I'm loving it so far.

But... I ran into the same issue the net is filled with: No FFB in games at all.

I deinstalled the device manager, deinstalled the wheel, reinstalled everything and it still does not work.

I installed it like ANY other device for my PC and normally i works.

So any help how to get the FFB working would be highly appreciated!

EDIT:

Ok... so I found here another Link to the US page and there was a driver for the FFB and now it works.
Somehow on the other site, mentioned in the manual, there was no FFB driver.

Anyway... it works. So let's hit the road!

I have a problem with my steering wheel. I installed the drivers and the application, connected the steering wheel and launched the game (ATS). Controllers were detected but FFB was not working. I turned off the game to check the settings in the Hori application, but the feedback adjustment did not work, so I decided to restart the game to try to adjust something there, but the steering axis no longer worked, I simply could not turn. The controller is detected, the buttons work, but not the turning axis. The steering wheel does not calibrate when connected to USB or when starting the system. I noticed that Windows has installed its own driver and cannot find another one. Please help me on this topic.
Im having the same problem with the FFB it was working then my PC updated and now the FFB does not work. how do i fix it??
Hello guys, I have the same problem, how i can fix this? All works but now wheel after connected dont center and dont work. Some hints? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I install the app and driver but its the default driver on windows show up and hori driver dont. I try other usb ports and nothing works.
I appreciate some help here. Thanks

Hey.
As of today I broke the usb-c port on my Hori Shifter
Is it worth fixing or should I try and get a replacement from Hori directly´?

Hi guys having recently purchased the hori truck control system I have been using the it in automatic transmission which has been great all buttons and key bindings working perfectly. Today I was going to give manual transmission a go but the shifter stays in neutral in game in ets and ats. I have ran the wizard, tried uninstalling reinstalling the app and drivers to no avail. The shifter works in properties in windows and the hori app so its not faulty. Any help would be greatly appreciated
