Well I-15 from Vegas and I-5 into Oregon are pretty solid connections. US-395 is decent but the landscaping in part of that I-10 mapping that doesn't have the best modeling iirc.

Oh for sure, but it's too much detours to get it through California by Oregon.
And i agree with Las Vegas and I-15. Passed some times by the time of the Christmas event because i was completing it in the recent updated southern CA. Didn't see soooo much incosistence with newer and current maps by that border.

I agree with too many detours just to avoid I-80 in Nevada. Unless I am in the PNW, I avoid California. It's less than 35% discovered for me. It's not accessible for me. It's not often I am in Utah to take I-15 either. It's still to easy to avoid going West with all the 2020+ maps available.

For me, California's still distant due this lack of new content on base game states, i've been driving so far mostly on Missouri, Iowa and Nebraska, with some trips on the states around and the route back to my HQ in Dallas. Even Montana and Washington are abandoned by me with no jobs completed on these lands :lol

what the hell are you even talking about my manflight50 wrote: ↑17 Jul 2025 15:21 Sora what do you think Route 66 Rework is about dude? Its tied to PRT. You might wanna do some research. You are barely here and always have the nerve to call me out all the time and be off. Read my friend.....read. Read between the lines as to what that user posted as well. If PRT wasn't tied route 66, don't you think the reworks would map in phases like California? Instead they are focusing along route 66 and areas off it. For some reason, SCS is head over heals about Route 66 as if it was currently the 50s again. If you noticed, I also said yes PRT is part of the base map...I clearly said that. But if the subject is going off off on a tangent like that user typically does, this isn't the thread. If you was here often enough, you know how that user is. That's what I'm getting at.
route 66 is, at least in part, a base map rework; we both agree on this
the reason it is being reworked is completely irrelevant, because this thread is still the best place to discuss reworks, and it will continue to be the best place to discuss them unless a dedicated Route 66 Rework thread is made
provided the user is who i recall them being, i mostly associate them with complaining about Utah - which, fine, isn't base map, but still isn't Road Trip either, and Monument Valley is probably the closest to on-topic that they'll ever get because it's at least almost Arizona
But even if that isn't the case, and I'm recalling someone completely different... this is a discussion forum for a video game. Half the people that come here probably don't even have English as a first language, and you're expecting everyone who comes here to puzzle out the ten layers of meaning you're weaving into your post that require the context of posting here as a part time job? Maybe you should try communicating better in the first place. I guarantee that if I'm not following what you're putting down, there are plenty of other people who are even more confused than I am.
Believe me, I'd love to follow along with every conversation that takes place here, but I'm employed, I have a little family, and I'm generally more interested in playing video games including but not limited to the ones this board is centered around discussing than following whatever random bandwagon of complaints the #BestCommunityEver is obsessing over on any given week for a game I am mostly content with. I'm not going to reread a 10000 post thread just to get whatever in-joke you're throwing down. The time I spend here is about the limit of what I can justify, and I mostly lurk because I'm amply aware that attempting to converse here always ends up being more trouble than it's worth - as, I suppose, we've again demonstrated.
I'm sorry if that isn't enough for you, and I'll additionally apologize preemptively for misunderstanding the 4D argument you're presumably employing against me because that's the only reason anyone would fail to see the radiant magnificence of your contributions.

So what if R66 is tied to PRT? Is it that big a deal that we shouldn't discuss it here? For heavens sake, please rename this thread to an ATS general rework thread, or create a new thread for every rework project.

This thread is for rework of base states. The R66 rework is part of the base states.

Re: Base Map Rebuild (CA, NV, AZ) General Discussion Thread
New Mexico is not base map though. Route 66 runs thru NM and that state does pop up in here quite often. There actually are specific reworks threads for each state that was started initially by Kraake. All that is in the public research threads. Things for reworks gets lost here. Researchers are not going to look thru 1000 pages.

This isn't a research thread. They have their own forum.
