SCS Blog Weekly Wrap-Up - Updated Every Sunday

(This is mostly a copypasta of my post at viewtopic.php?p=2054196#p2054196. Originally I was just going to just post these in the nonsense thread, but after some discussion I felt that having this in its own thread would be a better idea.)

I had a thought, when it comes to blogs.

Every Sunday, I'll try to put together a weekly summary of blogs. Think of it as a weekly ICYMI (In case you missed it). "Week" in this context would be Monday-Sunday.

I was inspired partly by Para and Marcello.
And it's a nice way to keep the weekly blogs together so that you don't have to go searching.

So without further ado...

Blog Summary for the Week of August 4-10, 2025


There were 2 new blogs this week. So overall, a pretty light week for updates.

To be honest, this will come in handy just like Trucker Mudgeons map does for me. I find myself always having to go back thru the blogs for when they talk about x,y,z. For example, if there are 10 Louisiana blogs and the one I want to re -read is the 4th one out of 10 that talks about rest stops, I have to go to Louisiana and keep clicking on Older Blog til I get the one I want. Or roll out each month and scan thru all the blogs for that month trying to find what I want. This summary tells me the day, the blog topic and the link.

This is a lot of work to keep up with but its pretty beneficial the more I keep thinking about it. Thanks for the link in your signature. Its easier to remember your avatar name than to remember where this thread originates because I don't bounce around as much like I use to. So its harder to get lucky to run across you. So if I know your name, I can find the link to here.

I see you linked something similar to my ATS Progress map in your signature as well, lol. That's pretty cool. I like how you have the dates on it. Better than me remembering them. Eventually I'm going to loose track as more are releasing.

And thanks! The map was something that I was originally going to do for the Truck Sim Wiki as it's a visual version for a table that's over there. Plus, it's nice to keep a historical record on when a state releases, so ten or so years from now, when the map is almost done (or, maybe even finished at that point), we can see how the map progressed over the years!

Blog Summary for the Week of September 15-21, 2025

Well how about that....we got blog posts every day this week!

Update 1.56 released for both games this week, featuring mostly under-the-hood fixes, even though ETS2 got a little extra with some DLC updates to go along with it. Cruising Iowa wrapped up officially on Sunday (the 14th), and the summary post was Wednesday. Plus, posts on Louisiana and Illinois, covering scenic towns of the former and the city of Moline in the latter. The weekend included a Coaches blog post on the Scania Touring. The week closed out with an SCS on the Road blog post.

Interesting. Its definitely rare that we get more than 5 blogs in a week. 6 is one thing but 7 is extremely rare. The back half of this year can really prove to be a really busy year information wise. We got 204 blogs for 2024. I wonder if SCS tops that for 2025. We are only 40 blogs away and about 3 months to do it. With 2 map dlc's coming, several reworks in the works and whatever else that could be spoken of this year, it will be intriguing to see how things play out blog wise.
