Improving community event stats

#1 Post by donfede » 08 Sep 2025 00:08

Hello @SCS --

As we wind down the Cruising Iowa event, here are a couple suggestions to improve the WoT community event stats.

a) On the main WoT page, at the Cruising event section leave a visible counter of community mileage even after the community goal is met. This might be similar to some past winter events, where "multiple levels" of community mileage were measured and displayed.

b) Track and display users that contribute most to community events. This might track mileage, job count, or mass transported as some starting points. This feature should probably require users to "opt in" if they want to be publicly displayed (otherwise their stats might be displayed as "private user").

That actually sounds like a neat idea!

I'd say since mileage is the goal, a mileage leaderboard for the "Cruising...." events would be fun and add a bit more challenge for those who enjoy boards like that.
