OB 1.57 😉, yes we all know that this update will be released but since it rarely happens to have four updates a year, I wouldn't be surprised if scs called the release of OB 1.57 on Halloween a very surprising one (or rather it's not about the update number but about the release of the fourth update this year)

They aren't doing a halloween event. That would be surprising.

To be frank, i tolerate the winter wonderland world because it lets the developers test out snow mechanics in a controlled environment, and gives that bit of winter fun to those who want to truck with it, but I am pretty dedicated to immersion and roleplay in my games, and having loading screens and teleports is not really enjoyable to me. I don't end up liking the Winter Wonderland event nearly as much as others do as a result. I see it as a necessary crutch as we work towards eventually building these mechanics to put them on that map directly. But the goal is to have more stuff on the actual map itself.

If we are getting some kind of Halloween world, I mean, I will play it, but I would much rather start to see some stuff added to the map seasonally. It doesn't have to be a lot, but imagine if they add pumpkin patches to a bunch of the farms, festive decorations to each of the Trucking HQs that you can own, and just other small festive decorations to the small towns and cities scattered about? Short of an outright seasonal overhaul, which is obviously a lot of work, but something that just gives nods to Autumn and Halloween that can be scattered throughout the map.
