Drivers not working

#1 Post by Rodders 61 » 24 May 2025 11:32

HI,
I've got a strange problem. I have about 130 drivers but a couple of them are on a delivery but not moving. It says they finish in N/A and have not finished it even after it should be.
Anyone have any ideas.
Thanks.
Rodders.

We have been seeing more and more reports of this sort of thing in recent times and it seems to be caused by the event queue entries for the drivers concerned 'disappearing' and thus there being nothing to trigger their future behaviour. If you'd like to share your latest saved game files (info.sii and game.sii) then I would be able to confirm that but we need to understand whether there are things you might have done that could affect this (eg. using g_set_time, or warp, or some other console command that might play with the flow of game time, or perhaps save editing, whether by hand or using a tool, including things like Virtual Speditor)
Cheers, Steve

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I don't use console commands but will try and do as requested.
Thanks.

Hi,
Sorry for delay and my ignorance but i can't seem to find the files your requesting. Could you advise where i could find them. I now have four drivers with the problem.
Thanks.

Use the tools supplied by your operating system and search for the most recent game.sii file on your system's storage. It should be under a profiles directory, not under a directory whose name starts with profiles and has a .bak extension, and will probably be directly in an autosave directory. The most likely locations are within your Documents area or under the userdata area in your Steam installation.

Hi,
I've been looking for the directory and i think i've found it but it's asking me to use an app to open it which i don't seem to have. Forgive me i don't know anything about apps.
Just an update. I've hired four new drivers and now have six with the problem. this seems to be getting worse.
Thanks.

You don't need to do anything with the .sii files that would require a program, just either upload them directly to a cloud provider or try to attach them to a PM here (although many people's game.sii files are too big for the 1MB file limit). If you have OneDrive (because you have a Hotmail or Outlook account) or Google Drive (because you have a Google account) then those will work fine for uploading.

Hi,
Managed to download sii file but it's 15mb. I've never done what you advised. Could you help with what to do next .
Thanks

If you have a Microsoft account try this:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/off ... 00ef02b586

If you have a Google account try this:
https://support.google.com/drive/answer ... %3DDesktop

Otherwise simply search the web for information on uploading files to a particular service. Once you've uploaded the info.sii and game.sii files somewhere that service will provide a way of sharing those files with other people. Again the documentation for the service will explain how.
Cheers, Steve

Hi,
Thanks for the help again but i can't sort it out. I've been trying since this reply. I think it is encrypted but don't know what that means and what to do. I now have 8 drivers who are now affected. The only thing i can think of is uninstall and re-install the game.
Forgive me for the trouble.
Cheers.
