@Josh Bostock Yeah I really hope they get the signage right in Glasgow, that was something that caught my eye when I drove there.

And re:Edinburgh, I think Coaches will be our ticket to the city center, thankfully.

Yeah the UK rework and Northern Scandinavia are the ones I've been waiting for the most ever since I started playing ETS2 in 2016. And now we've got both of them coming relatively soon, along with Benelux and Iceland too. My playtime for ATS went past ETS2 by over 150 hours by now, but I think over the next few years the difference will become much smaller, if not eliminated entirely.

I've also been looking forward to a UK rework for years now, and given how good that Copenhagen blog looked, I have no doubts the team doing the UK will knock it out of the park and deliver a really good product in the end.

If the UK Rework comes in 2026, what a year 2026 will be for ETS2 if everything lines up for it.

Iam been looking forward to the uk rework for a long time very exciting stuff .I think they might do it in phases because of the yorkshire tea reference so they might start with yorkshire counties first and build out from there starting with North Yorkshire west yorkshire and south yorkshire then the east riding area I can't wait to see how they do sheffield especially where the m1 goes over the tinsley viaduct with meadowhall just at the side of it there's lots of industry's in sheffield aswell

I dont personally think they'll do it in phases as the UK is very very far behind the rest of the map. The difference driving from a refreshed UK to the original areas would be incredibly off putting. Also if they were to do it in phases surely it would start from the South Coast

I assume the introduction blog for the UK rework will explain both the scale and the scope.

I'm very pleasantly surprised to have gotten the teaser for this project so early. Guess they must have a larger rework team(s) than we thought.

I'm sure @LondonLad had a lot of fun narrating this
Yeah this echoes my thoughts as well. I feel like they probably won't include Northern Ireland in the rework but have it paired with as a DLC with Ireland. I would guess that's probably the most likely.

And I think @EWOZZA makes a really good point that they might rework the entire mainland UK at once, as it would be really jarring moving between the areas that have been reworked and those that are still being worked on. But I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.

UK Rebuild at last! I agree that this is probably more of a Britain rebuild, with the whole of Ireland coming as DLC, which I'm fine with.

Of course given the quality of recent rebuilds I'm expecting good things from the roads and cities we already have. I mostly have four wishlist items:
- The UK is given a 1:20 scale. This might be a bit contested as it means the map is smaller than what we currently have, but I think consistency with the whole map is a good thing to aim for.
- Special care is taken with the Pennines. The Hull/Grimsby to Liverpool corridor is extremely dense, and it's already missing one major city (Leeds) that probably should be there. I hope the rebuild can represent it properly.
- Some of the empty regions can be filled in. North Wales and Stavanger probably will come at some point since they're major routes to/from Ireland, but I also hope Norwich, Penzance and Bristol can be added too.
- Finally, I am hoping for the Scottish Highlands, including the Hebrides and maybe even Shetland and Orkney. Nordic Horizons is giving SCS experience in making remote, mountainous territory, and I hope that knowledge can be put towards completing Scotland.

Wasn't the UK in a 1:15 scale?
Definitely agree with WL item 2, 3 and 4 (the fourth one is very required!)
Bristol was mentioned on the mileage targets afaik, but I'm very much confident they'll add it.

Of course, my wishlist item - give us London taxis and double decker buses (aka the mighty Wright New Routemaster)

The UK is probably the oldest part of the entire game. It needs the Spaghetti Junction and the heavily transformed M25.

London would be interesting to see. It’s a very large city with multiple districts, and with the current scale, they might only show a small portion of it, maybe around 15-20 percent. I’d like to see at least a few iconic locations like the clock tower and other recognizable landmarks, but I’m not sure how they’ll handle the motorways or the city center. London alone could easily require a dedicated team of 10+ members to do it justice. How they approach London will likely give us a sense of what to expect for New York City and other densely packed areas along the East Coast for ATS.

My expectation is that London will be fairly ring-road centric. I can see there being a road that heads into the city for Victoria Coach Station, but otherwise most of the heavy industry spurs off the M25.

Here's a very handy map of London's economy by business type (from here):

The major industrial areas are:
- Around Heathrow Airport in the west
- Within the Lea Valley in the north
- Around Dagenham, heading towards the Docklands in the east

All that seems doable on a game scale.
