🖥️ Triple screen setup not possible with NVIDIA Surround (3×2K monitors — looking for alternative solution)

#1 Post by JoshLeGrenat » 03 Nov 2025 00:13

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to set up a triple screen layout in Euro Truck Simulator 2, but I can’t use NVIDIA Surround because my monitors are not identical.

I have three 2K monitors (2560×1440): two identical ones running at 165 Hz, and a third one that’s also 2K but originally 240 Hz. I manually set that third monitor to 165 Hz so all three are matching.

Even though all three monitors now have the same resolution and refresh rate (2560×1440 @ 165 Hz), NVIDIA Surround will only work in Full HD (1920×1080). It refuses to run in 2K across all screens, probably because one of the monitors is a different model.

I’ve already searched online, including on Reddit and here on the forum, but I haven’t found a clear answer to this specific case. I’m sorry if this topic already exists.

Has anyone managed to run a triple monitor setup in ETS2 without using NVIDIA Surround — for example, through a config file edit, a custom resolution, or a manual parameter tweak? Something like how iRacing lets you define the resolution directly in the game files.

Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks in advance 🙏

There's an alternative way without Nvidia Surround or AMD Eyefinity for triplescreen.

1.) Make sure, your center screen is set to primary in Windows settings

2.) Change following lines in config.cfg

Code: Select all

uset r_mode_height "1440"
uset r_mode_width "7680"
uset r_windowed_borderless "1"
uset r_fullscreen "0"
3.) Start the game. You should now see a small triple screen window on your center screen like this:
desktop.jpg
4.) Open developer console and enter following command:

Code: Select all

g_mode 7680 1440 60 0
where the first 2 values are your horizontal and vertical resolution, 60 is refresh rate and 0 forces a borderless window over all 3 screens.
