Edit: I just came up with a super idea, why not make sleeping possible anywhere and just have a setting in config to activate it. I mean, most of us will anyway sleep at places that allow it

Re: ETS2 1.58 Discussion Thread
I'm with you guys, it's very annoying. I tend to just dump my trailer somewhere else on the area and just take the truck to park. It's faster that way... but not fun at all. So we fully expect a fix on this until next major patch, nudge, nudge

It's called fatigue off... totally immersion breaking.
@devs: can the newbie hints stop showing when the player has reached level 3 or so? Whether someone plays on PC or on console, after a little they'll memorize all that info like "oh this symbol on the map means there's a gas station, I'd never guess". That's how many games work, they'll start slow and show you the basic keys and functions, advance little by little, then stop showing hints altogether. We've got a tutorial too which could be made accessible from the main menu for later reference if someone hasn't touched the game in months.

Isn't there a reset function on that already? If not, do as Bandit says and add a reset for hints to show another round if neded

Re: ETS2 1.58 Discussion Thread
I think the biggest misconception people have about the game is that "sleep area triggers are tiny and you have to find them". That's not how it works, they are large, but you have to fit your entire vehicle in the trigger area. Naturally, it's not always possible to achieve if you have longer vehicle. This is not a "day one issue", it works as intended.
Like on that Aziz's picture, trying to park B-double in the area intended for single trailers. And that's what we see in the picture, the second trailer sticks out. If you want to park longer vehicle, you either has to find a different area, intended for longer vehicles, or break the combination, which in the game we can only do by uncoupling the truck.

That's not the problem I have with parking area's. I've had area's were I had to move the truck+trailer 20 cm forward or backward just to trigger the them. Or I triggered the parking, shut off the engine and the parking option was gone. And then start again, move a little bit in either direction to activate the trigger again.

Dear SCS!
People tell me that...
People tell me that...
I'll skip the swear words. I'll ask simply and briefly: SCS, are you out of your minds?!"A Magnum with a ref trailer and a 10-ton load blasts off like a BMW 7-series, only without wheelspin.![]()
This is brutal! It feels like we're back to patch 1.14 - 1.15."

Keep dancing with the heavy load
SCS should've have a left an option to wreck the engine if you do so
