Although the pictures chosen for EP are nice, there's a HEAVY bias towards a select few people. The pictures chosen are not because of how they look, but who took the picture.
At the moment, it's somewhere between 4-6 of the chosen pictures are from the same people and 0-2 are from some random person.
So I suggest there needs to be better rules on how EP are chosen, to make it fair for everyone.
There might be a better way, but here is my idea:
4 of the chosen pictures, must be from people that do not yet have the SUPERSTAR! achievement.
1 of the chosen pictures, can be from someone with less than 20 of the SUPERSTAR! achievement.
1 of the chosen pictures, can be from anyone.
Ofcause the chosen pictures should be nice and not some random weird stuff. But as it is now, it is very disappointing for the vast majority of the community, to keep posting great pictures and never get EP, because the editor's have a bias for a few people.

Forget it unless you post at the exact time that they look at photos you can forget getting an EP photo, pretty sure that’s why they removed the achievement from the list

That's why I don't post photos on WoTr anymore because it's very unfair.

Re: Editor's Pick suggestion
As someone who struggled for years to get an Editor's Pick, the pictures that are always chosen are from people who know exactly when the pictures are picked and post their pictures at the right time to get picked, once you discover that, you can get picked quite easily, i managed to do it 4 times basically in a row, whoever picks the pictures doesn't bother scrolling through a lot of them, they just pick whatever is right in front of them, i can assure you there isn't any favoritism, people just know how to play that game.

Technically that is still favoritism on time zone with the global player base. If the editor only looks at the recent image pages, then it's only convenient for certain time zones

That's true, i had to time my uploads quite late on my time zone to get picked, but with "favoritism" i meant to specific players.

Re: Editor's Pick suggestion
Yeah i totally agree, that the Editors Pick System is completely biased! The Editors Pick screenshots only at a certain time (i think between 8 and 9 a.m. CET) in the morning on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Players can upload the best screenshot in the world on Saturday evening, or sunday morning. It will never be picked. So there are a few poeple who know that and so they always upload their best screenshots at this certain time and so they get picked so often! The unfair aspect of this is, that poeple who are not able to upload their best Screenshot at that time they will never have a chance to get an "Editors Pick". As JoeAlex23 already said, this is of course also a time zone issue. So there is advantage for people who live in a time timezone, where you dont have to get up early to upload screenshots on WoTr.
I am happy to say, that i got an Editors Pick! But for that had to get up early for two weeks to upload my screeshots about 08:30 a.m.! People, who live in the wrong time zone and dont want to get up early three times a week, have no chance to be picked.
I would suggest, the system should be changed so that editors are simply shown 10 random screenshots from which they can then choose. These 10 random screenshots are picked out of all screenshots, that have been uploaded since the last pick. So everybody has a chance to be picked.

OMG. I've found this secret too late. Few years of hopes, hundreds of good, excellent and so-so phots... And I haven't got this damned trophy still. Ok. It's so hurtful...

Re: Editor's Pick suggestion
We’ve been reading the recent discussion about the Editor’s Pick system. Thank you for the feedback and suggestions shared here - some of them are really interesting and inspiring.
Looks like some of you figured out our usual Monday / Wednesday / Friday routine a bit too well
Editor’s Picks are chosen manually from many uploaded screenshots. The choice is based on creative impression and personal preference. Since the picks are often added around similar times, this can create some patterns with upload timing and visibility. This mostly comes from normal work routines and scheduling, not from any preference for specific users.
We know that no selection system will make everyone happy, but we appreciate the constructive discussion and different points of view.
Thank you to everyone who keeps sharing screenshots and creativity with the community

Re: Editor's Pick suggestion
Perhaps picking from "random" sorting instead of newest would solve it. Everyone would have a somewhat equal chance without having to focus on specific upload schedule.
