Do they? Corporate HQ does not equal factory.
Adding it wouldn’t have any value in terms of in-game jobs.

SCS usually does extremely good research from what I've seen, but I think they fumbled the Willis (formerly Sears) Tower model:

I can understand foreshortening the upper floors of the building (even if I think the effect is too conspicuous from this distance, making the building look shorter than it should), but it seems like not even the shapes of the building's upper floors are accurate here.

Compare the image above with how the tower's upper floors actually "fall away":
[ external image ]

Note how for floors 67 to 90, the building has a "plus-sign-shaped" cross section. SCS's version seems to skip this segment entirely, going straight to the two-square cross section of floors 91-108 before having one of the squares fall away in a move not seen on the actual tower.

Especially when combined with the aggressive foreshortening, the misshapen nature of the building makes it look off, even in gameplay videos and screenshots. I get the impression that it was either poorly research or poorly modeled compared to SCS's usual fare, which is kind of disappointing because I was mostly raised in Illinois, so this building is a major landmark I've been really excited to see represented in ATS.

I hope the model can be fixed in a future update; I doubt there's enough time to fix it before the DLC releases, but I'd be over the moon if SCS proves me wrong on this.

As far as I know, the shape of the Willis Tower is copyrighted, thus forcing SCS to alienate the ingame model from the real one.

Aha, I see! This is a rabbit hole I've certainly heard of in passing, but hadn't fully explored. As far as I can tell, that appears to be accurate, and it would explain why Watch_Dogs also modified the design.

Hype fully restored!

I don't think it's a problem to say that, since it's not a spoiler.

So, then they plan to add International Trucks Corporate Headquarters in Chicago at some point. Do you remember which stream you saw it on?
Oh no, there’s no plan, it’s in the DLC. a neat little Easter egg.

Personally I don't really mind if they change its specific segment layout, especially if they're
legally unable to make it fully accurate, though I do hope it'll be made taller at some point.

I can't properly judge it pre-release as it may still appear different in-game, but from what we've seen of it so far, the tower
seems to blend in with the other skyscrapers size-wise – so if you're not specifically looking out for it, you could miss it.

While in real images I've seen (see above), that never seems to be the case.
It's always quite literally towered over the others as an unmissable, gargantuan landmark.

Of course I could be wrong, but to me it feels like the object was added to the city at about half its size.

Agreed. No benefits to us. Now the factory, definitely different story. We need more in the game. Especially with all these new models that have come out post 2020.
