Don't forget the Lizard on sun visor Kenworth had to pay for and install to use the Icon name.

Ohh alrighty, I see. I was just thinking that since it was based on a T600 paintjob from the 1990s, they may possibly adopt a variant of it to older models too.

Yeah, the lizard on the sun visor is probably the coolest thing.

Yeah, I’m sure Kenworth also totally thought Freedom 250 was nonpartisan like America250, it’s just a lot lower key so nothing happened. (Nobody really thinks trucks are culturally relevant, let’s be real here.)

KW knows very well what "Freedom 250" is because they are providing trucks to move around the "Freedom Truck" trailers, but as long as SCS isn't promoting that specific thing, we are good.

Oh, that’s a bummer. Yeah, thankfully it’s just the trucks.

SCS has dipped into politics and taken stances before when it was relevant and unavoidable, but this does feel like an unnecessary endorsement of a political initiative. And arguably a bit counter to said previous stances. It's a small thing for now but I'm not sure if opening that can of worms at all is what they want to be doing when the landscape around ATS's setting is already contentious. Comes across as odd if nothing else.

Eh, i don't think SCS is "endorsing" anything, that on the blog is just an edited version of how Kenworth themselves revealed the paintjob, SCS probably wasn't fully aware of what's truly going on with that, but i'm sure now they will know.

America 250, Freedom 250... I just want to grill.

I'm betting that SCS either didn't know about the difference between the two, or didn't think it would be an issue to refer to Freedom 250 (also, like JoeAlex pointed out, this is more of how Kenworth themselves revealed the paint job; maybe they also had some say in how SCS revealed the in-game version). Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal at all.

I like the look of the paint job, and would love more classic schemes like these. This would look really good on the 9900i and the 389; I hope we get a pack of jobs like this, sort of a Classic Stripes Part II with a patriotic twist, to recognize this Fourth.
