New 1.60 widget placement.

#1 Post by Zark » 12 Jun 2026 16:14

I like to drive in the cab (not external view), however, although I am looking forward to all these new widgets but it seems like they are all going to be at the bottom - either centre or right. Would it be possible for the player to define where to put these new widgets, Like at the top of the screen, i.e. job info at top centre, or even top left or right. Each of these new widgets have difference height and width, there are 6 point on the screen idea for them to not interfere with my driving. eg: Top (left-centre-right) & Bottom (left-centre-right). Then the player can choose what placement they wish to suit their playing style.

For me personally, I like to play close to the dashboard to read it, then having the Cab-Nav on the dash active......but, with all these new widgets being placed in the corner, I won't be able to see my dashboard navigator.

I hope you understand what I am trying to put across and I do hope you can make this possible, otherwise nearly all these new widgets will have to be disabled, which would be a shame as the look cool. :)

Same problem for me, it's in the way of the trucks navi screen. I would even like to be able to move it to a seperate screen. I have a USB screen with touch somewhere witch would be awesome to use for it :)

If you are interested Erik, there is a small mod within the workshop, that condenses all the new widget info so you can still see the dashboard sat-nav.
it called SCAR - Super Compact Advisor Rework: @ https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 3735790362

This will help until SCS can make placements available. :)

Not going to risk any incompatible issue. SCS is pushing updates on the UI like never before. For now I deactivated the in cab navi. But thanks for the information.

I use it, got frustrated on truck nav being covered up... It work nicely without any conflicts. I will keep it until SCS will think about placement, but I highly recommend it until they do.

Yea, the widgets needs to be movable. They are actually also poorly designed, with stuff not needed and are just adding occupied space for no reason.

Do the widget team even play the game?

Takes up 50% of the hight of the screen. Looks cluttered, not realistic at all.

If they would add remainingg driving time to the actual tachograph I would just turn everything off.
Now I am bound to have the map widget up.

Yeah, I agree completely.

had the widget team actually thought about it, They would have added 6 placement slots on the screen, so at least 'WE' can put them where 'WE' want. Rather than stacking all in one place. But hey ho.......!
