Re: VR - experimental support
For the past few days, during the loading screen, the two images in the headset are misaligned, and I see double. I have to close my eyes during the static loading screens, otherwise I get cross-eyed. It's annoying.
Does anyone know what to do?

What HMD do you have? Pimax?
I had it, too, and already thought it was the game.
But it was the PiTool 1.44.1, which came out almost at the same time than 1.59 two months ago.
Yesterday, I got the new 2.0.1, and the issue is gone. Also mentioned in the release notes.

Yes a Pimax headset but mine is a Crystal OG.
I've upgrade to latest pimaxplay version recently and it's true that i haven't this problem before.

Confirmed, it is the Pimax software. Good to know that the new version solves this.KingOfTheRoad77 wrote: 17 Jun 2026 05:57 What HMD do you have? Pimax?

Thank you. I don't search a solution on ATS/ETS2 side anymore.

Re: VR - experimental support
Quick question for the VR community: A lot of people seem to like the new lighting changes. Me, I think it is absolutely terrible and dreadful. Not speaking about the interior materials, they are fantastic, but the outside lighting has become bleak, washed out, flat, lacking contrast and depth. Somehow this reminds me of my own misguided first attempts on image processing from some 15 years ago, when I was fascinated about the amount of details you could restore from blacks and whites... except that the aestetic quality went down the drain, but that I realized a lot later, when I wondered why I don't really like my pictures any more.
But I am digressing. Is this a me thing? Am I the only one? Or could it be that the lighting actually looks good on monitors, but doesn't benefit VR at all?

I experience the exact opposite: previously, everything was overexposed and washed out, and I had to turn down the brightness down to 35 in order not to be blinded by white signs, buildings and cars. Now I'm on brightness level 40, and everything seems balanced, in a much brighter environment.Dachbodenfund wrote: 17 Jun 2026 09:54 Quick question for the VR community: A lot of people seem to like the new lighting changes. Re: VR - experimental support
To be honest:
I don't see any significant difference, neither concerning lighting nor materials - at least in my W900 (SCS one), it generally looks the same than before.
But I'm still learning to get used to manual 13-speed-shifting since a week now, so I'm certainly not completely focused on those changes. In any case, from my personal point of view, it has not become bad/worse and is on the same level than before, at least.

Interesting... the W900 doesn't have the new materials, though. Currently only Mack Anthem and WS 49X. This is quite noticeable.KingOfTheRoad77 wrote: 18 Jun 2026 08:38 To be honest:

Ah, okay, I didn't notice that the new materials only affected specific trucks - didn't read the blog in detail.
