Hi all,
is there a sensible or recommended setting for truck and trailer stability sliders?
Thanks

Re: Stability setting
The default ones are 'sensible' any thing beyond that depends in part upon your control devices and what you want to achieve.

Re: Stability setting
Ok thanks, i've tweaked them, not sure but is there a reset button or what were the defaults?
I guess i want realism, I have a basic FFB Thrustmaster wheel, play in VR and have a motion rig.

Re: Stability setting
Without using physics mods, what truck and trailer stability settings would give realistic handling/physics?
I love accuracy and realism, but IRL I've never driven anything over 12 tons, so i have no experience to guide me.

Re: Stability setting
I'm currently running 20% stability for both truck and trailer.
In ATS i just took a bend at 65mph when the advisory sign said 45mph and nothing happened.

Re: Stability setting
I just saw this video and it has recommended settings and recommends physics mods.

I wonder if these settings work on a vanilla profile?

Re: Stability setting
I use mods but no physics mod and my settings of truck trailer is like this:
I use mouse for steering. The values above is from the */profiles/*active* profile/config.cfg
Code: Select all
uset g_cabin_suspension_stiffness "0.5"
uset g_suspension_stiffness "0.5"
uset g_trailer_stability "0.225"
uset g_driveshaft_torque "0.6"
uset g_truck_stability "0.25"

Interesting subject
I'll post my config later today - keyb / mouse driver - vanilla game
