A new game is not necessary for that, it won't be any different from the map mods that already use a different map scale, you just switch the main map module, is just expanding on something the games already supports.

On the plus side for a new game would be that they could redo stuff that is hard to redo/develop in the old games. On the negative side, probably all licenses have to be renewed. On the other hand new types of truck probably need new licenses anyway

Adding it as a DLC for both games is probably the easiest way to go

Call this a wild speculation (which it is), but I personally think the WoT upgrade that is currently ongoing could eventually lead to stuff like driving in "worlds" outside the base map without having to resort to creating a new profile.

I remember that one interview Pavel had with Vortex_CZ back in 2021 where he envisioned "instance experiences". Not sure if that idea has changed but he did mention something similar during the Nordic Horizons Stream when he was asked about the "little fun experiences" (referring to the special event maps).

I love this kind of speculation. Keep it coming! Much more fun than all those "when"-speculations ;)

I hope that 1.61 will be THAT update. This year so far not even one major update for both games. I want coaches so bad. Even more that my lovely multicore 😭🥀

If RT and Coaches come with 1.61 (or whatever update they come with), both could come with QoL/Gameplay features that compliment the experience; so assuming 1.61 is the compatibility update for both, I could see 1.61 being a beefy update on the QoL side of things.

@Filipkooo
If we're getting background passenger conversations with the Coach DLC, why not add the sound of refrigeration units running on reefer trailers as well?

I will quote was Sisl said on discord when I asked about the upcoming update. "A year from now when we look back we can say, wow, that was an update that brought big changes"

So, take that with a grain of salt but I'm expecting 1.61 to be what I had hoped and what historically 1.x0 have been.

And I also can't wait for coaches. Especially that double decker Volvo 😁
