I have no idea what this guy is going on about or what he’s even trying to say. SCS stated long ago that the COACHES DLC isn’t a full passenger simulation; it leans far more toward driving simulation. If he doesn’t like it, he could’ve simply skipped buying it and played other bus simulation games instead. Making comments like this here just makes him come across as ridiculous.

Feature Suggestion for ETS2 Project Coaches

Dear SCS Software Team,

First of all, thank you for bringing coaches to Euro Truck Simulator 2. This has been one of the most requested features by the community for many years. The gameplay looks fantastic, and I truly appreciate the hard work your team has put into this project.

I would like to suggest a few features that could make Project Coaches the most realistic coach simulator ever created.

1. Passenger Boarding and Alighting

Instead of passengers appearing instantly inside the coach, it would be amazing if they could:

Walk to the bus.
Queue at the platform.
Board one by one.
Leave the coach at each destination.
2. Ticket Checking

A ticket inspection system would add a lot of realism.
Examples:

QR code tickets.
Mobile tickets.
Printed tickets.
Invalid ticket handling.

This is one of the most enjoyable features in real coach travel.

3. Passenger Conversations

Passengers talking naturally during the trip would make the coach feel alive.
For example:

Families talking.
Children laughing.
Phone conversations.
Quiet conversations during long journeys.
4. Luggage Handling

Please consider adding:

Opening luggage compartments.
Loading and unloading luggage.
Extra luggage options.
Damaged luggage reports.
5. Bus Stations

Bus terminals should feel busy with:

Other coaches arriving and departing.
Station announcements.
Waiting passengers.
Departure boards.
Staff working around the station.
6. Driver Announcements

It would be great if drivers could make announcements such as:

Welcome aboard.
Next stop announcements.
Safety reminders.
Delay announcements.
7. Passenger Satisfaction

Passenger ratings could depend on:

Smooth driving.
Speed.
Braking.
Arrival time.
Comfort.
8. Border Control

International routes could include:

Passport inspection.
Customs.
Police checks.
Random inspections.
9. Coach Company Management

Managing a coach company would be exciting:

Hiring drivers.
Buying coaches.
Opening depots.
Creating routes.
Scheduling services.
10. Interior Life

Please make the coach interior feel alive with:

Reading lights.
Air conditioning controls.
Television screens.
Wi-Fi indicators.
Passengers using phones or reading books.

Finally, I believe that combining ETS2's huge map and driving experience with the passenger interaction found in modern coach simulators would create the best coach simulation game ever made.

Thank you very much for listening to the community.

Best regards,

A passionate ETS2 and Coach Simulator player.

Regardless of how the passenger boarding/ticketing is/isn’t simulated, at least we will be carrying realistic loads between our calling points. On my last few cargo missions I’ve had a milk tanker from Aberdeen to Arvidsjaur in Sweden and currently hauling carrots from Honningsvag to somewhere in Sweden.

I’m sure there’s places much closer to Arvidsjaur where they can get milk, than paying €100k+ to haul from the UK and it would have turned to yoghurt or cheese by the time it got there. And I’m sure what carrots could be grown in the Arctic climate at Honningsvag would be retained for local consumption, not shipped to the agricultural regions of southern Finland!

Regarding the carrots.
"I said 1 pallet of carrots, not one semi-trailer of carrots"
"Ohh, okay, I think the rest of the carrots can be more useful somewhere else"

That milk, was it sheep milk?!

B-Double trailer and short modes: EN 7.82 swap body, 20’ or 30’ containers.
Standalone 40' mode: EN 7.82 swap body, 20', 30', 40' or 2 x 20' trailer.

A reminder to certain players: this game is called Euro Truck Simulator, not a passenger transport simulator. SCS has long stated that the Coaches DLC is not a full passenger simulation experience, with its focus firmly placed on driving simulation. If this does not appeal to you, play other titles such as Bus Simulator instead. Do not ruin the experience for players who are after a unique, authentic driving gameplay here.

I think that if the Coach DLC becomes a huge success and generates significant profits, then, from a business growth perspective, it should eventually become its own standalone game, something like Euro Coach Simulator. That way, SCS could develop it into a full-fledged coach simulation as a separate project.

Not as long as it depends on the same map.
I don’t think they want to maintain multiple maps.

Yes, we need this!
I don't like other boring bus simulators. They have dull virtual worlds and graphics. I hope we get more than just bus driving in ETS 2! Our wishes might motivate the SCS team!))

True. I rather see them offering an attractive bundle with the ETS2 base game and the coaches DLC.
