Well, I believe that with the feature in the game, they might expand it to trucks eventually. The problem is that it will be a lot of work to go back on all the trucks to implement both features. It's not impossible, but I believe it will take a while for start appearing in the trucks.

And it means going through the manufacturer approvement process again for every single truck equipped with any of these features. Less than likely before reworks happen or new trucks come.

I don't think it needs to go through the manufacturer's approval process to be implemented in the trucks. It's a feature. Just like when truck windows started opening with the implementation of FMOD.

Well, interior light is in the 2025 VNL (i think only for the Ultimate interior). So I hope, after Coaches, extends into other trucks in the game.
And I don't think licenses are tied to make them available.

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
I hope not, because I'd rather see those features added to all compatible trucks, not just future ones. Otherwise, it would give the impression that SCS is only doing the job halfway once again.

I don't think so. But I'm sure modders will.VirtualTruckTravels wrote: 17 Jul 2026 15:05 So sunscreens and interior lighting coming to trucks too? Or will it be a forever wish.

Stop with this license thing you know nothing about the licensing deals, neither do I but i seriously doubt you need to renegotiate interior lights... that all trucks are born with irl. Get a grip its getting out of hands with these replys about licensing to everything discussed.Bandit & The Snowman wrote: 17 Jul 2026 15:17 And it means going through the manufacturer approvement process again for every single truck equipped with any of these features. That’s enough for you to lose your temper? You even admit you know nothing about it, so who’s to get a grip, lol.
Well, whether you like it or not, we know there’s at least one manufacturer who is pretty narrow-minded. Apart from destination panels, we might get all features in trucks eventually, not just lights (rear-view cameras for rigids maybe?), that’s more than enough to be of interest to manufacturers.
The actual point is though, existing trucks won’t be touched just for those features. We’ll have to wait, and wait, and wait.

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
They're not talking about renegotiating the license. SCS would probably have to go back and get specs about the types/brightness/etc of the lights if they don't have it, and get feedback from the manufacturer after implementing them. This is a kind of thing SCS has talked about before. I'm sure none of the manufacturers would say no unless they didn't have staffing to help with it. But they would still need to be involved.VirtualTruckTravels wrote: 17 Jul 2026 15:58Stop with this license thing you know nothing about the licensing deals, neither do I but i seriously doubt you need to renegotiate interior lights... that all trucks are born with irl.
