ok thx a lot guys. I think everytime i export model before conversion the uv map would reset for some reason. i am going to have to double check that everytime after export model.

Might need to apply vertex colours to 0.5 on that one.
Blender > select the object > Top left click "Object mode" and select "Vertex paint" in the drop down.
You'll see two coloured blocks at the top left, click the left one.
Adjust the values as follows:

Either click Paint > Set Vertex Colours. Or you can press Ctrl + X. You should see it change colour slightly.

Re: setting up blender and scs tools version 1.60.
is this a problem?
https://ibb.co/vCjfmVtW
also control + x does not work. do you think is because my blender setting shortcuts are different or because i might be using a different version.

No, not a problem. It's just going to adapt colours. What version of Blender are you on? Does clicking Paint > Set Vertex Colours not work?
Make sure you're using the cab paint in your truckpaint shader. Or you can just use a fully white image instead in the texture path.

Use the cab paint texture. It shouldn't be that shiny.
Mine is just from a white square in paint.net.
Here's the settings:

Make a new material for the sideskirts > apply the truckpaint shader.
Put a blank white texture in the texture path, that's what I've done here and in game it's fine.
