[TOOL] - Templates for 3rd UVMap - 1.9.x Skins

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

So in general I don't have to bother with 3rd uv maps at all? ;p

Edit: unless you don't wont your users to complain about not being able to apply the default skins (if applicable).

Well tbh I can always add "old-style-vanilla" skins to my models, that way, every model may have it's skins fitted in a good looking way instead of some random "hope it looks ok" way ;p

Yea. :)

BTW, I'm wondering, what's going on with your T-Series... the skins don't work anymore on it...

These are mainly for artistic shapes etc.

Oh, and another thing... If you follow SCS Software's example you can use the same skins on different trucks. That is a brilliant idea, actually. :) No more endless editing to have a full fleet, just a one time deal.
Thanks for this ohaha. Quick question. Where can I find SCS Software's example on how to do this? Also, the code you mention changing in the first post, where is that exactly? Thanks! I'm just learning how to do this.

SCS example is in almost all the default skins.
The code goes into the skin definition.
If you make one dds you can then make skins for all trucks with it, by creating just the definitions for each truck.
