Truck stalling
Re: Truck stalling
ill try the physics change and about the clutch i always play realistically,so no dumping.
Re: Truck stalling
Well didn't change much oh well anyway it won't ever get "fixed" since it seems im the only one with this issue..so meh stuck with this annoying thing i guess
Re: Truck stalling
Make sure you didn't assign your clutch to a digital input?
And check to make sure you can use the full range in game control options.
Or more importantly, can you ride the clutch?

Re: Truck stalling
It's just since 1.3 it does that (clutch is fine also using full range)

Can't start in Gear 2L on that.."incline"
What do you mean Ride the clutch?

Re: Truck stalling
Can you slowly release the clutch until you start moving before the clutch is fully released, and hold the clutch in that spot.
Riding the clutch is moving while not fully releasing the clutch. IRL it's a bad habit as it's a quick way to burn your clutch.

Never argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
Re: Truck stalling
Oh that yeah i can as always,i tried without any mods again (mods i use doesn't touch transmission or something like that)
Its just weird cuz in ETS2 in doesn't do that and trucks in ATS feels very weak compared to ETS2 (550 vs 560hp+heavy load)

Re: Truck stalling
ETS 2 used to have a very tight spot where the clutch was either not applied at all or fully applied. I had a very hard time configuring my devices and game to a point where it felt natural.
This changed in some patch after that and the clutch felt like it should. So perhaps the same has happened with ATS?
I don't believe the trucks to be underpowered but the input range of the clutch is so tight that you stall because you go over it by even the tiniest of fractions.
Of course that can also be related to some physics engine strangeness as well, getting things rolling in the first place might be compounding the issue. As if the physics actively tries to combat the output of the drive wheels.

Re: Truck stalling
Well okay..i guess it will stay like that..thanks for the reply!
Re: Truck stalling
Why should it stay like that? I just said this used to be an issue in ETS 2 and that it might have made it's way into ATS for some reason.
It was fixed on ETS 2 so why wouldn't it be fixed in ATS too?
