Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of it ?
I am continually running in & on the emergency brake down lane on the highways when I am playing the game.
There is just too much traffic ONLY on the highways for this game & if there were a way to adjust &/or slightly reduce the amount of the traffic flow, I would end up having a more enjoyable driving experience:
(A): Use more of my turn signals, of which, ONLY on the use of the highways, I end up NOT USING THEM.
&
(B): It will reduce my chance of getting into accidents, MORE SO with wide trailer loads & all other trailer load damages & tractor damages too.

Re: Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of i
you can search for g_traffic value in your config file

I tried to look for the g_traffic value in the config file, & it doesn't exist.

Which one of the config file command lines, (LISTED ABOVE), do I work with to edit the density of the traffic in the game.
ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
Re: Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of i
Misunderstanding. What SISL suggested will work for the actual games. A feature introduced not so long ago, in a patch. In other words: the likelihood that such exists for "18 Wheels of Steel: American Long Haul" is rather small.
ALH is of 2007. ETS 1 (of 2008) is the oldest SCS game I know, and I don't remember no such trick to be possible, in any way.
Not too many of us have solid knowledge of these legacy games, I'm afraid.

Re: Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of i
add this line below all
default is 1.0
You can reduce it to get less traffic like 0.5 or 0.6, 10 max...
"0" is no traffic
Code: Select all
uset g_traffic "1"

"0" is no traffic

Are u saying to manually create the said command line, under the following command line: uset m_filter "0" ?SiSL wrote:add this line below all

Re: Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of i
Dear: "SiSL",
I have tried to manually enter the uset g_traffic "1" command line @ the very bottom of the config file list & it doesn't seem to stay there, & when u exit the game, after having manually enter the command line to the bottom of the config file list, it auto delete's itself & worse yet, if u enter the command line as: uset g_traffic "0" or: uset g_traffic "1.0" it does not completely remove A L L traffic.

That command/feature was introduced for ETS2, don't think it will work for 18WOS.

So "SabR", what is SiSL talking about ?SabR wrote:That command/feature was introduced for ETS2, don't think it will work for 18WOS.
If the uset g_traffic "1" command line is NOT the one to enter, WHAT is the command line to manually enter & where do u enter it in the config file ?
Re: Traffic: Is there a way to adjust/reduce the amount of i
Please don't quote the post directly above.
I'm not sure. Only he can clarify it. Cannot help you as I do not have 18WoS.
