The hardest part will be trying to come up with a reason to justify making it a full expansion pack, since both Ireland and Northern Ireland are fairly small.
Probably Ireland should be packaged with a serious refresh for Great Britain to justify a DLC.

Yep, it has been posted in Public Beta 1.28 Discussion (ETS2) a bit earlier. :P
All this stuff gets considerable amount of attention from SCS already. I have a strong feeling we will get some event as 1.28 goes live. I also have a feeling it will be tied to France (DLC?) somehow. I hope it won't be DLC-dependent...

They could jut make it a slightly larger scale. Like the UK there are no road connections to N/Ireland so increasing the scale a little bit to allow them to add more would be perfectly acceptable IMO. The UK is already larger than the rest of Europe.

No way, Great Britain is already a compromise but there's nothing you can do about it right. Keeping a 1:15 scale for future islands, like Ireland, Sardinia, Corsica or anything else seems acceptable, but an even smaller scalr, no way. Ireland should have conquer more land when the times were right!!!

Jokes aside, I can feel the time moving slower in GB and it's weird, a 1:12 would be even worse.

Oops! You mistakenly typed "worse" instead of "better". But it's not important, I understood and I'm with you there.
Did you try Hungary at 1:3? A stunning beauty...

I know that map and is nice. But it's weird to jump from 1:19 to 1:15 and then 1:12 and back again. You know, something call "consistency".

Lets wait to ETS3 to implement scale of 1:15 or 1:12 :)

I doubt anyone sane would start building again the whole map. Refresh and expansion till the end of time.
