Drag drop is the name of the game with SP. There are command line options but i forgot what they were and i CBA to look at the code right now.

Basically, drag-drop the extracted game root folder. Drag drop a model (pre 1.26 IIRC) and drag drop an image.
ImageGreen text = Moderator action.
ImageWhite text = Opinions and general banter.
PEBCAK errors... PEBCAK errors everywhere! If my life had a log file, it would be filled with PEBCAK.

I have an idea for this: would it be possible at all to make a tool (or implement it into this tool) to be able to edit/make prefab and assets? That would be VERY helpful to many mappers...

Possible yes. Practical? I dunno.

BTW, it's not that hard to update it for the latest models and such but as i've said before... Interest was pretty low back when. Even amongst the people that actually asked for SP to begin with.
If enough people badger me i could release an updated version of SP quite easily. All i would need is spare time and motivation.

EDIT: That, or anyone willing could just join the dev team and gain access to the repository. After all, the idea is to open source mods studio. But we would have to clean up some of our mess before that so that people actually want to contribute to the project.

So are you saying that the SP won't work with the current version of the game? For me I'm trying it with ATS trucks and getting an unhandled exception error when I try to open the truck .pmd file with it. I'm guessing it is because something isn't right for it to work with the trucks I've taken from the game now, but I suppose I could be doing something else wrong.

Edit: And btw, I totally wanted the SP feature. Would make it so much faster when skinning instead of having to constantly launch and relaunch the game until everything is perfect. I would have thought that anyone who made skins would have wanted a feature like that.

The response when we launched this feature was, believe it or not - underwhelming. Sadly.
Well, I guess we'll give it one more go when I finish my current project.

Indeed, PMD format has changed. Hence the exception rather than undefined behavior.
If you wanna skin, use the older models (assuming the geometry/UV maps hasn't changed) which you can get through the betas tab in Steam.
