I just joined this Forum because I wanted to say thanks SCS, both for the NM DLC but for both the sims. Your commitment to continually developing and investing in them is fantastic. The quality of this latest DLC is top notch and I can't wait to see what you do with future content. Great value for money and you have my custom for as long as you guys keep making these great sims even greater. Keep up the outstanding work and keep truckin!

nelsonrm wrote: 10 Nov 2017 13:17 I thanked you with my money and I am glad that I did :) Everything about NM is fantastic except the time frame. I am however confident that the next state DLC will come sooner. Good job!
That will certainly happen. No rescale to worry about and hopefully no external team to delay the game. If they do decided to continue to use that external them that did not meet SCS's time frame, I hope it is on a non-adjacent state. Something like Montana or Washington. Texas would even be a good one because of the time it will take to complete Texas. SCS can work on filling in all the Western states. The external team(s) can have states in the que that we can do without for now. Considering when NM was announced, the push was to get it out in a timely manner. As long as SCS doesn't repeat this, the next will come quicker.

All in all NM is definitely a job well done along with update 1.29. The both bring a lot to the table. The future is turning out to showcase the potential I knew ATS had from the beginning. NM is now the new standard until it can be topped.

Would it be feasible to just have outside teams making all the Eastern states while SCS focuses on the current adjacent states. Once we get to an outsourced state, SCS would just need to refine it an polish it. I can see that taking much less time.

polishing something takes longer then making it from scratch because external teams work differently then SCS themselves

it would be just a waste of time to make a map external just so SCS can, again, go over it to bring it up to standard
