Yes Joe, that means you are the right kind of guy for the "job".

As a beta tester (at least in my mind) you are meant to test the game fully, find all bugs with a vigorous ferocity and report them extremely well to whatever place those reports need to go.
Lately i have been keeping the bug reports forums cleaned but all it takes is a gander at some of the older posts i haven't moderated to see some examples of pretty much useless bug reports. (Mod issue, not a bug, too little information, already reported/fixed, etc etc)

Are you saying that you only wanna be Beta tester, because it would give you the game for free?

Unfortunately this is the reality for many games beta programs... They just want a free demo and a free copy of the game when it's out.
This is quite detrimental to the testing phase of any game and it happens in "professional" beta testing studios too.

With that said, only people who are ready to spend countless hours nitpicking about what's wrong with the INTENDED game design should apply to be beta testers.
Which is the sole reason i haven't applied for any beta testing in any titles.

mmmmm I prefer to preorder if that's okay. I've done beta test on other games after I preordered. That's how you bring beta testers in. I don't need a demo whammy imo LOL.

I've looked through the bugs forum before, and trying to extract information from some of the posts seems to be hell. But if you do it properly, the devs say ok, we'll fix rather than after 5 pages of replies nobody can work out what the problem is. Help requests as well, with people's games crashing. "Post game.log.txt please" must comprimise about 50% of all posts in the Technical problems forum. So if I have the patience to deal calmly with that, as I often have, that means I'm good beta tester material? Nice! I'm starting an IT course at college in September, with a view to developing games, so this would be valuable expierience, certainly

Does that mean I can apply? Nitpicking? I can do that very well. Spotting levitating poles outside Cambridge? Can do that too! Drive well? That too. Testing against broken mods? That as well.

SCS people? Are you reading this? Hint hint hint, nudge nudge.

Ive done beta testing for Aeria games for two years. It does indeed require nitpicking and many many hours of driving and testing. Its not all fun and games when beta testing. I would love to help by beta testing too but if I dont ever get invited then Ill play the final game when its released instead.

Looking trough the game for bugs is fun!

I have plenty of spare time to test. I would love to help develop ATS and do something useful!
I am good at finding bugs, especially when I'm told too!

I have a high-end gaming computer, Logitech G27 wheel+pedals and loads of free-time!

wish I could help SCS being beta tested on ATS.
I am big fans of American vehicles and the United States. I also have a lot of admiration for the work that provided the studio on these simulation games.

I'm not thrilled with obligations beta testers but if I must then accept it. I would prefer to can purchase or pre order ATS and get it immediately as it is now, without liability for proper function.
I just very want to have (or buy) ATS right now. And I saw that open-beta for ETS2 fine was benefit everyone and us customers and to SCS.
I wonder, why not open beta for ATS on Steam with mandatory pre order or buy ?
Am I the only one who it very wants and dreams ?
