If SCS add the ability to get out of the truck, I have an idea to make it work relatively-gracefully within the current constraints of their truck-only, designed world:

When you get out of the truck, you could display a visible, semi-transparent, box around the periphery of the truck which acts as a fence which the player trucker avatar cannot go outside of. This box could be made just big enough to allow for practical things like truck/load inspection, fueling etc but small enough to make it unlikely the player trucker avatar will get stuck in some sketchy part of the terrain.

A box would have to happen no matter what but visible isn't a bad idea. It must be optional though. Unfortunately if SCS adds it, people will still complain that they should be able to walk further. Some will want to walk into gas stations.

The dev console was never really meant for the public, we just use it. The people requesting getting out, want it as part of the game and not tools. Although I have zero interest in getting out the truck, its a request that should come with limits though.

The problem with the dev camera is it doesn't have a fixed height or sound. I have suggester a g_walk command, though, that is the best of both worlds.

I'd love to go to an in-game chrome shop on foot at a truckstop and buy a visor for my truck, then drive it to the service center and have it installed.

But I wouldn't expect SCS to do the majority of the work with interiors. I will get flak for this as normal, but two
games I play that offer on foot exploration within the game (GTA and Farm Sim) have a significant number of building mods that have been detailed by independent modders.

Seeing something like that A-frame cabin that was released here tells me that ATS modders would probably do the same if walking became a thing.

I need more another truck chassis:
Front Twin steer axles as 8x4 chassis and 10x4 chassis, 10x6 chassis to Westernstar 49X, Kenworth T880.
Trust beats anything.

^The US does not feature twin steer front axles. 10x4 and 10x6 have almost a zero percent chance in ATS. ATS is a game that focuses on OTR. If a mode came where off roading becomes more of a thing, then yeah the chances increase that way.

Display the Rest Timer in Freight and Cargo Market
I think it would be ideal to place it under the box where trip distance and trip time are displayed.

This would save us from having to load in to Drive mode to check it, which is especially inconvenient when we have to go back to the company trigger because we forgot to check the timer before unloading, even more so if you're in Cargo Market and pulling a long doubles or triples configuration, because you're probably going to have to go around the block to turn it around! Having to load in to Drive mode to check the timer is also very inconvenient for those on slower computers with longer load times.
It would also make it easier to avoid deliveries we won't be able to finish, and find deliveries we actually can accommodate before our next rest stop.

Edit: Rearrange things and add more scenarios where this would be helpful

I see there is a "non Trailer cargo" for a flatbed in the trailer dealer but I haven't found a chassi in the mod that has flatbed accessories. Is there a list on rigid chassis that has the flatbed option?

I wish there was more variations for the Classic Stripes Paint Jobs Pack. Or Perhaps a newer DLC entirely?
