Hi everyone.
I have a Christmas gift for you for the winter mod - check it out for yourself so you know what you're in for:
Winter Driving:
Watch the VIDEO
Forgive me for the clumsy antics at the end of the video, but I can't drive with camera number 2.
I've written to the author asking him to implement my changes directly into his winter mods, but for now, you can use my add-on immediately.
Mod description:
The mod improves the driving characteristics of roads in winter.
In your mod manager, place it above the "Frosty Winter Weather Mod v5.7" by Grimes and any traffic mods, and physics mods.
You should remove the additional Grimes physics mod and use the default one or another standard one that improves the behavior of the cabin, suspension, etc.
I personally use the following physics mod: GDC Logistics - Realistic Physics Mod - Steering Wheel & Pedals Edition (ETS2/ATS)

Download the MODs
Note: Update - now there are three versions
1. common for ETS2/ATS
2. dedicated to ETS2 (even more slippery)
3. dedicated to ATS (even more slippery)
I'm driving on Goodyear tires, but if you put on some cheap tires from the base game, the effect might be more spectacular, so be careful, have fun, and enjoy.
To fully enjoy the experience, we need proper sounds for winter surfaces, so if you know a sound designer, please tell them to create a dedicated tires.bank of asphalt samples that simulate driving and skidding in snow, because I can't do that. It needs to be a complete database of absolutely every sample: driving, braking, skidding, squealing, etc.
I tried replacing the "asphalt.soundref" file with #snow, but the game throws errors and eventually crashes.
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, and rubber obstacles on the roads!
