SCS Blender Tools
Re: SCS Blender Tools
Thanks to everyone who gave advice on how to fix the animation problem. I downloaded Conversion Tools 2.13 version and didn't do anything else. I am working further in the Blender 2.9 version with BT 2.1. I downloaded the animation of my mod. And saved it. I threw it into the converter and there are no more errors. Thank you for helping to solve the problem, now I will fix the animation on my mods for version 1.44 of the game.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
Are you using the piko.alldir flavor of the retroreflective shader? This flavor is not supported by Blender, and it will cause such errors when exported to the game.

@kartal2339 That truck, and several others from the same author are doing the same thing and I don't know why.
I know that from reading the modding guides for 1.44, something has changed regarding viewing of interior models from exterior and vice versa. I'ma look into it.
[edit]
It appears that it's not all mod trucks that do this. eg. GTM T610 and Mack R are unaffected.
For some reason I decided to buy a truck in-game that was doing this and after purchase, the truck is normal when driving around. It's also normal on the game home screen. But not in the dealer. Weird.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.
Re: SCS Blender Tools
I have been for a while in process of trying to learn how to use blender, so bare with me please. I have tinkered in it for a while fiddling around with different parts, etc. I would like to learn how to update pma's with conversion tools instead of using the dump method in steam as recommendations above, so help on this would be greatly appreciated. If someone could provide a video or reading material on how to I don't mind spending time learning. Or if they could do a step by step it would be appreciated. Do you use just the latest conversion tools to do the updating, or using the latest conversion tools thru Blender to do that updating? If I look at the interior folder/animations folder in blender the only file to bring up in blender is the anim.pmg. I do not see any of the pma's listed, so not sure what steps to do in order to get the pma's updated to 1.44. I am trying to learn by watching videos on my own and just tinkering in blender but it is a long process and sometimes hard to locate current information.

Re: SCS Blender Tools
you have to import the animations also, when you do import from .scs archives it shows 2 column, the second one has to be activated via checkmark and then you can load every individual animation, click on the first checkmark, hold left click and drag your cursor through all the boxes so you dont have to click them individually

when you have it all imported you can convert it in blender directly when you linked conversion tools, ofc export location has to be set up for it to work

Re: SCS Blender Tools
why does scs seperate all truck models as cabin, chassis, and interior? it affects all of the mod
Re: SCS Blender Tools
@kartal2339 If chassis, interior and cabin were one model, then that model would be enormous file size. Having separate models means you can change interior look/accessories without affecting chassis config.
