They were a common sight around the US airbases in the UK back in the 1980's
UKAX ran a fleet of them from Mildenhall and Lakenheath pulling Stick tandem axle box trailers and moving consumable stores between the British US bases and the ones in Europe.

Found out the yellow GMC used to be a dumptruck, and they are from the Rudi Vaes grondwerken company Hakan.

Yes, looks like an ex-army cab, think they wanted to restore it but put away.

BUT not far away, again, way back in the Belgian forest's I did find an abandoned, Volkswagen T1 Panel Van!
YES! The ones that are heavily priced! This VW was collapsed, a tree fell on it, I have a friend, who is heavily fan of VW Beetles and busses, he was shocked I managed to found something like this, he said "You have found THE holy grail!"

I gave him a call, told and my find, he let something fell out of his hand and he was like: "You are going right back to your house! You pick up your moped and get as quick as possible to our meet up point!!"

I told my dad, at first he didn't believe me, because finding this, is rare.

But I took him out to it, hopped in the Tahoe, he was shocked too

In all the videos of Top Gear I have seen.... and I never seen a Tahoe in Europe... or even know that those are sold in Europe.

US cars are really rare in Europe. But they can be found. Most of them were individually ordered and/or imported from the States.
Trucks are even rarer. But, there's loads of US cars in Norway. Probably in other Scandinavian countries as well...
And that's awesome for a car junkie like me.

I have to own at least one of them giant gas guzzlers that can only go in a straight line

US cars have that something, that cool factor... They're not as rational as European or Asian cars. And that's a good thing in my book. (Mind you, Aussie cars are even more bonkers, but they're RHD.)
