With that out of the way...
The Truck Guessing Game!
The game is simple, a photograph that has been edited to show only part of a truck will be posted.
The first participant to guess the trucks make and model wins the round!
10 (plus one) rounds will be played and after each round, scores will be awarded. The top 3 participants with the highest scores (see below for scoring rules) after the 10 rounds have been played will be awarded a selection prizes from the the Steam store.
The prizes for each placing are as follows:
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Scandinavia DLC + Euro Truck Simulator 2 Skin DLC of choice. (€20)
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 Skin DLC of choice. (€2)
- Euro Truck Simulator 2 Skin DLC of choice. (€2)
As not all members of this forum uses Steam, other arrangements can be made. First and foremost, i would prefer Steam store gifts, hence the winner(s) are allowed to specify who (which steam user) gets the prize.
But if such an arrangement isn't possible we can agree on a compromise in PM. However, one thing i won't change is that the prize must be a product from SCS software. This is the SCS Software forums after all!
And before you ask, all expenses are paid out of MY pocket. No one has contributed to the prize pool and it stays that way as per the forum rules.
Should no participant take 2nd or 3rd place for whatever reason, the lower tier prize goes to the higher tier winner.
The FIRST round we play will be a "getting ready" round to make sure all participants understand how the game is played, it will NOT count towards the final score.
The rules of the game
- Of course, the FORUM RULES still apply!
- Only the game host (me, Cadde) is allowed to post images in this thread.
- Discussion is NOT allowed in this thread, if you want to discuss the game then do so in the Off Topic section of these forums. Only truck makes and model posts are allowed, violating posts will be deleted on sight... Even if they also contained a guess!
- There is no specific time frame to when a new photo is going to be posted, i will post new photos whenever i have the time to do so. Which means participants better get their guesses right early or match my sleeping pattern... Good luck!
- Once a new photo has been posted, participants can place their guesses by replying to the thread. Only one post per participant after a new photo has been released is allowed.
- IF participants want to keep their guesses secret until i prepare the next photo or start the next round, they can do so by making a post with the text "SECRET MAKE AND MODEL" in it, then they send me a PM, by clicking the PM button on the post with the latest photo in it, with their actual guess in it. Which i will edit into their post when i post the next photo or start the next round.
- HOWEVER, using the "SECRET" method will deduct ONE point from your score IF your guess was correct. Still, doing so can be useful if another participant is on your heels and you don't want him/her to gain crucial information.
- Editing your post IS allowed. As long as you have a valid guess post placed when the next photo is posted or the next round starts it will be the accepted guess. The same goes for sending PM's, your last PM with the latest photo in it is going to be the accepted guess if you used the "SECRET" method.
- I (Cadde) is the supreme judge in this game, what i say goes. I hope you as participants trust me enough not to put me down without first discussing something you disagree with in PM. I will do my utmost to be fair to all involved.
The scoring is on a "first come, first serve" basis. When more than one participant guess right on the same photo, the participant that posted FIRST will win the round, the second to post gets second place and so on.
It's better to guess right than it is to guess first... Guessing right is the only way to score points!
Here's the score awarded to first, second...
- 5 points.
- 4 points.
- 3 points.
- 2 points.
- 1 point.
If a participant decides to make use of a "SECRET" guess and he/she guesses right, one point is deducted from his/her awarded score.
The participant with the highest score after 10 rounds wins the game and 1st prize. Runner up and third placers win their respective prizes.

The contents of this (first) post can change at any time, if it changes i will make sure to notify all involved of the changes to the post and/or game rules etc. The only thing that isn't going to change is the prizes for the winner(s).
