Re: The guessing game!
Round 9 is over!
The make and model was "Volvo FMX".
The scores awarded are as follows:
4 Points goes to WerewolfCustoms on photo #2 via a secret guess.
4 Points goes to GT-Mike on photo #4
3 Points goes to CrazyGijs on photo #5
2 Points goes to joe_alker on photo #5
Here are the links to the source images i used:
http://i.wheelsage.org/pictures/v/volvo ... 8x4_4.jpeg (All photos from the same source, that quality!)
Photo 1 hint - Second generation
This is similar to what Volvo did with the new FH16 model. The modern Volvo truck look.
Photo 2 hint - SKF
Svenska KullagerFabriken, known around the world for their high quality wheel bearings.
Their headquarters are located in Gothenburg and so are the Volvo Cars and Volvo Trucks factory.
Photo 3 hint - Works well below ground
The Volvo FMX is primarily considered a rough working truck, used in mining operations and other similar applications where the truck is likely to get bumped, scratched and pummeled.
Hence why the FMX is so rugged, built to withstand impacts with hard stuff.
Going underground (in a mining tunnel etc) would be all in a days work for the FMX.
Photo 4 hint - Ten
The Roman numeral X is the same as the Arabic 10. There's the FM10 and there's the FMX, both being "FM Ten" but only one that has the skid plate installed from factory as standard.
Photo 5 hint - Reminds me of a certain type bicycle.
FMX and BMX are not that far apart, don't you agree? And both are made to withstand harsh handling.
Other notes
The 10th and final round starts soon™®©.
The final round will be rather special, i will post an image containing a grid of 10x10 photos that have been blurred beyond recognition.
Participants who have made a guess can suggest one grid piece to be unblurred. To do so, simply add another line in your guess with the row and column of the grid piece.
Three grid pieces in total may be selected to be unblurred by three different participants.
If no suggestions have been made then I (Cadde) will select three random pieces using a random number generator, re-rolling if the RNG selects an already unblurred pieces.
The grid will be from ONE image of the truck i am looking for and each grid piece will have been scrambled in position and rotation in 90 degree steps.
If you can puzzle the image together again you might get an extra hint from seeing the image in it's original format, with the heavy blurring.
I suggest printing out the image and cutting the pieces out for easier handling. Or use an application, such as the one i have provided in the discussion topic.
When enough grid pieces have been unblurred, coupled with having the puzzle solved you have the full image of the truck.
At the same time, i will post photos as per usual but the photos will no longer be of the truck but of random items and scenery related to the truck. Coupled with some (hopefully) impossible hints.
One final change...
The scores will be tripled on this round. Each photo i post will reduce all scores in the round by one. Down to the default scoring.
If someone makes the correct guess within 10 photos, say on photo #3, he will gain an additional 7 points alongside the default 5.
Please allow me some time to prepare this round, i came up with the idea as i wrote this. Now to implement it!
Scratch all that tiny text above, i don't have the time to do that unfortunately. The last round will be your bog standard round. Sorry...

Re: The guessing game!
Note, the post above has been edited. This is just your bog standard round due to time constraints.
Sorry about that, i really tried.

Hint: You have been terminated

I will still make this round a bit harder than usual.
