hey guys and girls im just wondering any one know when ATS release and will it be multiplayer as well

If you had searched for your query before posting you'd had known the release dates. Anyhow, the release date for ATS is **/**/****. In other words.... yup! you got that right

ETS2 has never had an official multiplayer released and the same goes for ATS. Third parties may however do it like they did for ETS2.

It will be released when it's finished, which last I heard it still isn't. And SabR is right about MP. SCS has never made an MP game as far as I know. They don't consider MP a high priority, since the vast majority of players of their games aren't interested in MP.

However, there is an MP Mod, and rumor has it that the people who made it are also making an MP Mod for ATS. But only a small percentage of people here are interested in it, and as such know anything about it other than (possibly) the address of their forum. Which is ETS2MP Forum, but I can't tell you anything else about it, as I am not into MP games that you can't set up on your own computer \ server. Without that, I think MP is about useless...

We thought we would be releasing ATS last Christmas, then we said spring, then we said summer, then November, and now we just say: let’s finish it by the end of the year, so we can safely release it by February. Every distribution partner needs some time to advertise the game properly and arrange the shelf space to be available at the stores, so they need several weeks to do that as well as a guarantee ahead of time regarding the time of release. Preferably, the game should be pretty much finished 6 to 8 weeks before it hits the market. We don’t want to make a promise, because we are mostly concerned about the quality and wouldn’t want to release broken stuff. Instead of promising a release date we can just say what we hope for. We hope for early next year."

On WoT, in our profiles, SCS has added an ATS slot that reads, 'Coming Soon', so I guess it wont be long now, days maybe... maybe X'mas. I'm optimistic, may be a little too much.

I stopped even thinking about it. When it is released, I will think about it long enough to check and see if there is a retail non-Steam version available, and if there is I will buy it. If not, oh well... That's why I stopped even thinking about it. I see no need in getting psyched up about something I won't be doing. (And before anyone starts in with the Steam sales pitch, I'm not interested so you don't need to bother.)

I'm fairly sure there will be a boxed copy or one you can purchase directly through SCS Software themselves. I'm thinking of doing just that and just redeem the key through Steam probably. Or not do that, I haven't decided yet since I'm still waiting to see what their venues of release will be.

It seems to be plausible that they will be releasing it through "normal channels", otherwise all those websites like Amazon and EB Games, etc., that have been speculating about release dates and trying to get people to pre-order it for the last two years would not have been doing that. The only reason I can logically think of for them to try to do that is if they will eventually have it. If they weren't, it would make no sense at all to do what they have been doing. But on the other hand, ya just never know. Companies change their contracts all the time. For example, no sooner did I get an American Express \ Costco Executive Membership card than American Express and Costco decide to get a corporate divorce and the card will be canceled at the end of March. Which in turn makes my credit report inaccurate for several months because I have to change credit cards, which always changes your credit score.
