Great mod. One tiny suggestion, could you make the side mirrors OPTIONAL? i hate side mirrors because i dont use them and they are very distracting and also eat fps like crazy so i always remove em. Not being able to do it annoyes me a lot. I always need to go into the def files myself and remove the definitions, but this time i dont have the guts to do it (too many of em :p).

To make the side mirror optional, go to def\vehicle\truck\renault.magnum\data.sii and remove this line:

Erm, you didnt get it :p i didnt mean there are too many side mirrors. I mean that therre are too many lines of text you need to change to remove all side mirrors from all truck dealers/defs.
And no, lol, i wish it was that easy. You need to remove ALL lines that have the side mirror reference as required or rollback, that one alone would do nothing. Each cabin and config have the side mirror as required and rollback default...

I still dont understand why modders dont make side mirrors optional since the beginning. They do it with the front mirror but the side mirror is always left behind, sigh.

maybe try before moaning ? remove this one line and you can remove the mirror in the upgrade shop because the game doesnt force it anymore

they are not optional because they are required by Law and most modders dont change the data.sii or leave it as is

Just because some modders leave the data file as it is doesnt mean they like side mirrors. They will remove em whenever they can. I know maaaany people who hate side mirrors. And i didnt know they are required by law when they are basically useless in most situations, but if you say so... the front mirror is way more useful and its not required by law? lol. thats on you then if you cant do it, i can remove them on every truck i want and yes, the font mirror isnt required by law because cyclist 99.99% of the time are besides you and not in front of you an appear out of nowhere

I see. But, look, if you don't like them, just change the data.sii and remove them manually.
I'm not going to delete all side mirrors just because you feel like it! I like side mirrors.

About fps. I will reveal one terrible secret: any of the mirrors starts to eat fps only when it is in the camera view (+20 degrees, approximately).
When the mirror is not in the camera view, it does NOT eat fps. (Info from SCS, just in case.)

This Magnum has two types of cabin: for tractor chassis and for rigid chassis. And absolutely in all variations of the cabin, the side mirror CAN be removed (see next 5 screenshots)...

However, you should remember: when the truck is not your own, then any accessories can neither be added nor removed.
