-----Hello guys, I'm a huge fan of driving simulators and after playing ETS2 for a while I've had some wishes/suggestions in mind, hope you read them and give some opinion which would be great, Also I'll post some videos of mine at the end you can check them if you want. Thank You
Contracts
-----Contracts can be received at the Job Market you'll be able to choose a company(eAcres,EuroGoodies...) that you want to work for, so you will be given various types of contract that you can choose from, each should represent how many deliveries you should make for them (when you accept contract you can only make deliveries for 1 particular company that you've chosen, at the point when you finish quantity of deliveries mentioned at contract , you'll get reward, and if you cancel the contract, you lose some money.
Quests
-----Quests , meanwhile you progress your career , and hopefully you'll get your own truck, at some buildings/special zones that are marked with some pointer you will have special offers not from huge companies but from people,markets,shops... How shall it work, imagine that you are driving around the city and pass by some market and at the parking or backdoor of market you see a pointer , and when you ride in a menu(@mail) message pop-ups with an information of a quest Ex: Our market at the other city lacks electronic equipment and we needed somebody to transfer it from here, since our supplier is taking few weeks to deliver , and we need it urgently! Obviously will be shown the reward exp and cash amount you'll get after quest.
Radio
-----Radio (local) – ETS2 has indeed “online radio stations” and you can always listen music by putting it into a music directory, but why not creating the worlds own radio that will contain information from the world of ETS2, the radio stations that may also be divided into various categories such as news, music,or commercial, The news, will contain various dialogues and impact on the game world such as “Dynamic Events”(see next), or some events that are happening as police has caught a driver with a stolen truck at Luxembourg, or some company is searching for more drivers at certain city … or due to the forest fire the rotes “..names...” are blocked and you need to avoid them.
Radio also adio coud have some distortions effect during bad weather.
Dynamic Events
-----Dynamic events can be divided in 2 parts , while you'r delivering something or just Freeroaming.
Events during delivery:
-----If player listens to news radio and is informed about the roadblock the points at the map will be added showing where is the roads are blocked and the player will have to choose the alternative way to deliver the goods. In case that there is no Radio(local) , player can still receive some information from company by @mail saying that the roads are blocked and when player read the email , points will be added to the map showing where is the roadblock.
Events during freeroaming;
-----While player roaming the map he gets the @mail from somebody saying that he has a deal that driver can't refuse, and to accept it player should drive to a specific place, obviously that can be some kind of ambush just to steal some money, or it can be some kind of mafia that wants to deliver something to a certain place without anybody knowing, and player will actually have to drive very carefully by special trajectory on map to reduce police detection and such.
Used Trucks
-----Ability to buy Used Trucks : create some kind of car junk yard , where player can buy some old vehicles(or stolen) in bad conditions for cheaper price.
Trucks
Ability to lower and rise the side windows , when player lowers side windows the outside sounds will get loud(engine,rain,thunder,other trucks when passing bym,horn).
Weather
-----Weather effects seems to be a bit incomplete, need a little bit of work on that, rain( density of rain), with or without thunder and probably rainbow after rain, snow or hail , fog(density of fog), maybe wind can be also implemented that interacts with the truck and changes driving situations.
Traffic
-----Different traffic for types of roads, types of cities( depending on density). ( can be predefined or changed by user in case user has low end pc, he can lower traffic to minimum everywhere.
Economy
-----Banks with different types of loan .
#Add moneysinks
Implement some casinos, where player can spend some hard earned money.
Achievements
-----Achievements will show what player can Achieve and has achieved, and will keep person more entertained with ability to show off them later.
(also its possible to make it in some form of medals)
Drive : 1000 km | 100.000 km | 500.000 km | 1.000.000 km
Earn : 500.000€| 3.000.000€|10.000.000€
traffic infraction : 100 times | 500 times | 2000 times
Ranking ( @ Website & In-game )
-----Before sending information , it will verify if the game is legal before updating the profile statistics.
Ranking can contain:
-----Driver Level | Distance Driven | Finished Deliveries ( In time | Expired Time ) | Game time Played | Achievements 13/100 | ++
Types Fuel
-----Petroleum plus, petroleum premium, gasoline or some other:
-----Each type of fuel will have a different effect on the performance of a Vehicle and also have different price. ( different stations can have different prices).
P.S dynamic events can add fuel discounts at certain stations during some defined periods of time.
Leave Truck
Ability to leave truck and walk around it to make some screen shots or just wonder, explore a bit.
Multiplayer

Not sure about this. I always thought it odd that you go to the jobs page, select a job, THEN have to drive to the company and select the job again. You should be able to accept the job from the job list page, and drive up and collect. I would do away with the company icons in the gates of the premises, I never understood them. I guess there are people who free roam and look company by company to see what they have, but this is accomplished elsewhere. Then these can be quests instead, when you see one you know its not a job.

Like this idea, but who would actually use it? Most would prefer their own music or radio selection. Move the idea to the mailing system and you are onto something I think as the email system is under used.

I never free roam. I would consider this part of Quests and enhancing the email system.

We need less cars in towns and more on the highways. I agree to a slider for each so you can choose what you prefer. But I think the fact that the game is 32bits, and limited to 2GB ram, is probably the limiting factors with the way the game has been constructed.

-----Ans: The game as it is now is very linear and there is not many options that player can choose from, either you do random deliveries or when you own a company and make deliveries with your truck. By introducing more distinct options as contracts, random quests or some dynamic events with side stories , the game is gaining a lot of proper environment and longevity ( which is very important ) because you won't feel like the world is only you and nothing more, world is living and things are happening and its up to you, either you want to do them or not.

-----Ans: I've played Russian old truck simulator when they had only game radio which was filled by game worlds news , their music , and other kind of information, I never ever wanted to listen to any of music, since the radio news were so awesome, like " be careful at the north of the town ", gangs were spotted and the police is trying to prevent any possible damages that they can cause, so if you passed by this roads at certain point after the radio news, you could be stopped by gangsters and they could steal some cash from you or damage your car, that kind of radio events was awesome.
Dynamic Events
hmm, dynamic maps are not easy the way they are constructed now.
-----Ans: It is not mandatory to have dynamic maps, it's always possible to re-use the already constructed game space and just add events at there at certain times. Like at certain time and place , lets presume the port spawns some new big ship from outside company that needs drivers to deliver some kind of special goods to somewhere.(here combination of side quest and dynamic event), more variety of things to do that add better aspect to delivery types.
Events during delivery:
Roadblocks, flooded roads, accidents are all good ideas.
-----Ans: World should interact with a player, either way it's always seems to be empty without any new situations that can add some other feelings and rationality for player to be prepared for some kind of situations .

-----Ans: Just by asking myself, why players not free-roaming much? The answer is simple, "there is nothing to do", the only thing you can do is Explore the map and gain Explored Map %, players like to see statistics of what they'r doing , if not for exploring map % it would be boring, because some player can say, guys look i've explored 100% of the map isn't that amazing?, by that showing the real dedication to the game , and yes exploring is important here because you can't fill up unfinished parts of map just by doing deliveries, and here why Achievements would be a great addition, and meanwhile events during this freeroam would add some kind of different perspective to the free-roam.

-----Ans: It was a bad decision to make 32Bit game, nowadays computers have up to 16GB ram, and the question should be delivered to developers if its possible to port game to 64Bit from 32Bit.

Hello. I want to add something on these.
1 - Snowy weather and road
It rains in whole Europe but no snow in game. Driving in snow is something different. You may need to use tire chain or you may change route according to traffic on snowy path. This must be in game.
2 - Icing on road causing difficulty of driving.
The same as drivng in snow, driving on icy road is something else. Decreases performance of tires and requiires different techniques. Air temperature must be the factor that decides rain, snow or ice to see during transportation.
3 - Damage simulation
The vehicle looks new after having a violent accident. Not as important as winter simulation but damage must be visible. It maybe the same for all brands but proportional to accident.
4 - More and higher mountain roads.
The roads are mostly good roads. they are small, wide but its always easy to drive. Frequently, optional or mandatory, long mountain climbing roads will make the game more adventurous. Especially whet it combined with winter conditions.

I really want you to add tandem trucks to ets2.

I live in Sweden and most of our trucks over here are Tandem trucks. So i would really like to see them in game.
The truck/tractor itself should be allowed to use anywhere on the map. It would be cool if we could make small delieveries with just the the truck alone and
no trailer attached.
Off course we're gonna need several new trailers for these trucks.

2. More tuning/styling parts for all trucks

2. Add LED - Bars that you can put on the roof or the front of all trucks.
3. make it possible to tint all front facing truck lights to yellow color =
4. make a paintjob editor similar to the one from the Forza horizon games. Where you can make your own custom paintjobs for your trucks and do things
like adding decals and stickers and completely painting your truck however you want it.
5. add stickers and decals to the windows of the truck.
6. add your own roof signs. (you know these signs you put right above the windshield) like this:

Just a couple of thoughts, not sure if this thread is active or monitored anymore.
Vehicles get dirty on the inside and outside during trips, accumulate more dirt/grime over longer period of time. Can't always have a beautiful and shiney truck at all times right?
Weathering of Vehicles (dirt/rust/corrosion/pebbles and rocks in tires)
-Rain can remove dirt to some degree
Fuel Stations can also act as Fast food stops and diners (add a hunger meter just like the sleep meter, unless you have a food cooler packed as an accessory in your cab) If you need to sleep, you need to eat at least once a day. Should be just like sleeping, press a button and instead of watching 8 hours fly by, you just see 1 hour fly by for dine in or 15 minutes for take out.
Accumulation of food wrappers/junk and garbage in the cabin every time you stop for take out.
Repair Yards also have option to 'Wash/Detail' vehicles (clean exterior and interior of cab/trailer cost of wash depends on amount of soilage)

Manufactures won't allow rust in their lives.
Don't turn it into survival simulator.

Should be just like sleeping, press a button and instead of watching 8 hours fly by, you just see 1 hour fly by for dine in or 15 minutes for take out.
Accumulation of food wrappers/junk and garbage in the cabin every time you stop for take out.
Manufactures won't allow rust in their lives.
Don't turn it into survival simulator.
