trailer parking box not appearing

So I just got the game today, and I would like to actually park the trailer manually. Unfortunately, whenever I select a parking option, it puts the flag on the minimap, but there is no green trailer and tractor outline of where exactly to park it, so I have to just autopark. Does anyone know what option I somehow screwed up that made it so that this crucial feature disappeared?

Park Box is not as bright as in ETS2 and the high flying pulsing white flag doesn't appear until you've dropped the trailer in the box. Hard park option box is some times tucked out of line of sight when entering a facility. In those cases I've found it easier to unhitch at the entrance and drive in the direction of the flag to find the spot rather than get yourself in an impossible situation with a trailer attached

Select "Safe parking" and it will return. You can change it at anytime while playing.
