Pack updated to v23.07 with the following changes:

Engine and horn sounds added to the civilian 2009 Ford Focus Mk 2 (C307 generation) in AI traffic. [ETS2 edition]
Changed a few sound effects and added one for the default air brake sound replacements, now totalling at 18 variations.
Sound volume adjustments for the default air brake sound replacements.
New air brake sound effects have been added to the array for AI traffic trucks.

@nemanja694 - It will work on any trailer. That workaround option forces the sound to play regardless of what you're hauling once your truck moves

It sure has been a productive January for this mod! To close the month, the optional ATS previous soundproofing addon now has support for the newly released Western Star 5700XE for American Truck Simulator. It is available on the Steam Workshop, TruckyMods, and ShareMods.

Reworked sounds for the Las Vegas Bombardier Mark VI monorails. [ATS edition]
Slight improvement in accuracy of reefer unit 3D sound positioning for default AI traffic reefer trailers.

Congrats to American Truck Simulator for reaching 7 years! I am fortunate to be a modder for the game since its year of release.

In other news, 44% of the base game AI traffic sounds are now complete (▲ +1%)!

Support for the 1.45 previous game version will discontinue with the upcoming Sound Fixes Pack v23.10 on the Steam Workshop, but the mod's download links for 1.45 will remain available on TruckyMods and ShareMods.

1.47 news

The upcoming 1.47 game version is sounding interesting. There's even a blog post dedicated to sounds about it.

The Sound Fixes Pack already uses a scattered sound implementation for some of the ambient sounds like bird and cricket chirping in 1.46, so it's cool to hear that SCS Software plans to follow suit in the near future.
As usual I will adapt to the changes and modify or merge sounds where necessary. Any default ambient sounds that are satisfactory in sound volume and suitability to the location won't be touched by the Sound Fixes Pack anytime soon.

I'll also be looking forward to finding out how the directional sound equalization works in 1.47.

Upcoming topic for ambient sound coordinates

From the video we got of the 1.47 world ambient sounds, I remember hearing something similar to the buzzing neon sign but couldn't quite remember exactly where I heard it in the game.
So that got me thinking instead of relying on memory, I could make a compendium of coordinates of the different ambient sound events found in the game, because there are HUNDREDS of these sounds, some which are easily unnoticed. This can be something the community can help me collate too.

It will also make it easier for me to find which sounds players are talking about when they refer to an ambient sound without much description to go on.
I will begin work on it during the 1.47 open beta and let you know more.

Added recommendation in the mod description:
"If hosting a Convoy dedicated server with this mod, it is recommended to turn on 'mods_optioning' to prevent mod version restrictions."

Updated the recommended audio settings text file and its discussion topic on the Steam Workshop.
(Some new sound effects have been assigned in the Interior sound volume slider).
