Massive THANKS to Toast for featuring the Sound Fixes Pack in this well presented video of realistic mods for ATS - I can see a lot of work was put into the video! It's encouraging to see more support for American Truck Simulator from the Youtube community.

Hi Drive Safely! Just a little question. I don't use convoy in ATS. To lighten the mod, which lines in your mod should I remove?

@Michel - Thankfully all that's done to get it working in Convoy is adding this line to the manifest.sii:

Removing the line would not save you much space. I know there are mods that use additional files for Convoy sounds but this isn't one of them

@Drive Safely thanks for making this mod and keeping it up to date over the years for both games! I was wondering (if at all possible) in the Montana DLC I've noticed there are aircraft taking off from Great Falls and Helena airports (possibly more airports around the rest of the map as well) but they have no sounds, it would be great if you was able to give the aircraft engine sounds as they takeoff especially as the crop duster and smaller planes/helicopters have sounds too

@BeastyBill88 @Michel - Very good idea however not an easy problem to solve. To illustrate the point simply:

This was tested at Helena airport in the game. The game's sound emitter does not move with the plane so implementing a realistic takeoff sound will be difficult. Maybe I can figure out a different approach to it eventually.

The good news is that at least I can add sounds for the Cessna's for the next update.

Ah I see, I thought the sounds could be attached to the plane itself similar to how traffic is handled. Either way looking forward to seeing what you're able to come up with in the next update

Revised engine and horn sounds for the civilian and taxi 2003 Ford Crown Victoria in AI traffic. [ATS edition]
Horn sounds added for the 2016 Renault Clio IV in AI traffic. [ETS2 edition]

Realistic sounds added for Cessna planes.

@BeastyBill88 @Michel - Because the sound emitter stays in one place, I can't even track the speed of the aircraft as it will always report 0 km/h. So that rules out any dynamically changing sounds by speed.
On the bright side, I got sounds working for the small Cessna planes! I'm really happy with how it turned out - feels like you're really there in the presence of it.

@KrysEmlyn - I think I have added the sounds to the fixed-wing plane you enquired about for ETS2 a year ago. I still haven't found it in the Iberia DLC, but by looking at the matching filenames and file sizes, I'm confident it's the exact same Cessna I saw in ATS.
