SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

haha yeah you're not wrong. I am pretty good with floating but SCS's grinding sounds are way too in your face and the grinding is too touchy to me. I have Zee's interior packs that change those sounds depending Pete/Ken so forth, and is much nicer to use over SCS sounds. But his only goes so far and if it's not part of his packs, then no support. be nice to have a nice interior pack for them one off truck manufactures.

Dear author! There is a possibility to see modifications of CAT 3408 (E, B, C) in new versions of the sound mega pack in the future?

Hello @kriechbaum

Can you add the line "mp_mod_optional" to your modifications?

Thank you in advance.

I'm currently scratching my head when it comes to updating the soundpack locally. What would be the defs required to make the sound mod work in the new 57x? I've tried cutting out all the files for the other engines aside from the DD13 and DD16 engines, but the game still crashes. Has anyone had better luck?

@Icywinter, so what I did was make a copy of the entire folder for the Western Star 49x to my desktop and named it "westernstar.57x", and then opened all the files at once in Notepad++. Then click Search at the top, and then Replace. Then, in the Find what tab, type "westernstar.49x", and for Replace with, type "westernstar.57x". Then click on "Replace All in All Opened Documents". This will change it in all the files so you don't have to go and do it individually. And then finally, copy the folder you copied originally called "westernstar.57x" back into def->vehicle->truck. This has worked perfectly for me and no crashes or anything. Hope this actually made sense and works. If I was unclear at any part, just lemme know and I'll try and help!
