SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

@LucasVanDerSpin

to enable this in any mod its quite simple, the end of your manifest.sii file should look like this.

# Description file inside the root directory of the mod.
description_file: "mod_description.txt"
mp_mod_optional: true

}
}
@omisaki thanks a lot, followed your tips and works great. Regards

Omisake wrote: 03 Aug 2022 05:18 @Icywinter, so what I did was make a copy of the entire folder for the Western Star 49x to my desktop and named it "westernstar.57x", and then opened all the files at once in Notepad++. Then click Search at the top, and then Replace. Then, in the Find what tab, type "westernstar.49x", and for Replace with, type "westernstar.57x". Then click on "Replace All in All Opened Documents". This will change it in all the files so you don't have to go and do it individually. And then finally, copy the folder you copied originally called "westernstar.57x" back into def->vehicle->truck. This has worked perfectly for me and no crashes or anything. Hope this actually made sense and works. If I was unclear at any part, just lemme know and I'll try and help!
Yes, that was the step I missed. Thank you!

Edit: I'm still crashing even though I've done the replacement for both "westernstar.49x" and "westernstar_49x" pointers in the files. Am I missing something?

@Omisake I followed your steps, but what should I do after that? I compressed the mod again and got a zip folder but it doesn't work in the game, did I miss something or did something wrong?

Hey, do not replace "westernstar_49". Only the "westernstar.49" in line 3.

Here is a video i always use as step by step help, everytime a new truck comes out. (In case i forgot how to do it)

The part from 1:54 to 8:55 is relevant to Kriechbaums mod. Also follow his tip and use only the engines you need. Saves some work.

Hope this helps.

@BuddyE If you use notepad++ you can change the lines in all the engines with one click. ;)

Do not create another file, just drag the new folder inside where It should be in the opened existed file and rename back to .scs
