Hi Kriechbaum, I have tried to download and put this into my mods list and I noticed that I have ZERO engine sounds or truck sounds when loading up the Freightliner Cascadia truck. I have this prioritized above Drive Safely's Sound fixes pack and below some Zeemods sound mods. I would appreciate some understanding from anyone of what may be wrong here.
Thank you

I would take out the fixes and try again or look through your gamelog.txt, if kriech is ok with it i can upload the file that i patched to the 9900i

@pmsrt In the mod, go to "\def\vehicle\truck". Copy the folder "intnational.lonestar" and rename "intnational.9900i"

I'm new with mods and took a look into it as soon as I understood it was just an uncompressed zip archive. Removed everything except my wanted truck and C15 KotH stuff, tested OK. I didn't want all the extra engines...

It made me wonder...

Does \def\vehicle\truck\truck.model\engine\catc15.sii replace the original engine performance? If so, is there a way to not mod the engine itself but just the sound? Or do you have to mod the engine to mod the sound. I'd like it as stock as possible, just better sound.

Thanks, but I have no idea about such things. I'm just a user of provided material/mods and I'm in absolute awe of people who can do it - for me every good mod would be worth real money, all the more so since I can't do something like that, but I think it's great! Again a huge thank you to all modders!

Mack E9 engines made for Dieling's Superliner and Deutz engines for the Magirus in ETS2 were overpowered across the board. Just make your own curves - if you're using the engine editor app, you're halfway there anyway
Not all engines are buffed. some seems to offer lower values, like Cummins 605 being a 570 or so. They are not equally designed.

Also I have tried to update the curves by myself however it is hard to find real engine specs. for example 444 engines are old ones and although I searched the internet throughly I couln't find a data sheet for this engines. I was thinking of changin fuel consumption ratio also to give a bit realism to them.

If anyone can help me with finding the curves, it would be helpful.

Yes, it replace the original engine peformance. You should create a mod for sound replacement.

@Aktemur this should get you started, courtesy of Rookie_One. The 444 is a Big Cam variant, there's a Big Cam curve in there. It's not gonna be exactly correct, but it's a hell of a lot better. Many older engines don't have publicly indexed data - I'm still looking for data on CAT 3408 and MAN D2866 Euro 1.
