I did not understand the question.. Mesu adapted the sound pack for trucks released by SCS after March, including 9900, 57. This patch must be placed above the sound pack, or open the pack using 7zip, and move this patch there.

@myrddin I can share my definitions. You can download them here:

https://u.pcloud.link/publink/show?code ... zgg4pAvXMy

Note: There is definitions ONLY! You still need Kriechbaum's mod.

First download and unzip my def file. After that open Kriechbaum's mod. DON'T extract it, just open it. To open a zip or scs file you need file archiver program like 7-Zip, WinZip or PeaZip.

Drag and drop my def folder in the opened mod file. If file archiver ask permission to replace files, click Yes.

Close file archiver window and click Yes, if necessary.

If everything is ok, you'll see Kriechbaum's engines in the newer trucks and in many mod trucks too.

I added all his engines to all my definitions because I'm lazy.

Hello and thank you and Mesu for that! I love this soundpack so much. :D

I got a little question here, because it is really hard to find any information about this. Does all american trucks can be equipped with all those engines ? For example when you go on official peterbilt website, it says that the peterbilt 389 can be equipped with paccar engines, and no other engines are mentioned. Same goes for Mack anthem, Mp7 Mp8 and isx12n are only shown.

In the same time I can see videos on youtube with peterbilt 389 and detroit engines, so I am very confused because I like to play with realistic engines for each truck.

As an european person, thank you if you can enlight me.

For older trucks, you can use any engine from that time, more or less. For modern trucks, not so much, and what you see on the manufacturer's site is what you realistically can get. A Cat C15 wouldn't even fit in the engine bay of an Anthem.

But because some players want to (unrealistically) use any engine in any truck, mod authors often make definitions to allow it.

Thank you for your answers, it is fun to hear the sound of the engines on every truck even if it is not realistic for sure, I am trying to make them more realistic fitting. I have to google all those engines provided by Kriechbaum to understand which one are new and which are older. I have already understood that cummins signature 600 and n14 are older than isx cummins, and x15 and x12 are newer than isx cummins for example.

And it seems you can swap more engines in long hood old looking trucks like the peterbilt 389 or Kenworth W900 but there are nowhere a list of engines compatibility unfortunately.

got to admit, I love the 12v71. however a nice 12v92 would be nice in the older trucks (so much so as I have changed the figures in one of ther 12v71 engines to "make" one
