I haven't got outside the official map yet but the one problem I have with this map so far is trying to get a job. When I go to pick a job the map is zoomed out so far I can't see the city names and where my truck is at. How do I fix this? I've looked at the gamedata.sii inside the mod but I can't figure out which setting needs to be changed.

Atleast sharing some images of this map would be nice :)

I disagree... You have gas stations, you have cities, companies, garages, so in my point of view your map it's a very good base for further development of the idea.
So far i test only Phoenix & Albuquerque but I'm satisfied enough to the idea to go to Boston & get a job from there to Eureka CA :?
Welldone for your efforts.

@steve30x - I don't think you can zoom on the job map. If I can't see where I am, I just look on the world map.

This is what most of the scenery looks like at the moment (3000 miles is a lot for 1 person to do)

I mean the world map not the GPS map. Where you go to jobs market , then freight market and it shows the world map. All the cities are clumped together and its impossible to see where my truck is.

If you do not succeed to move all the map or also only that in which the intense activities are chosen tries this gamedata, it is in format .scs to put in the folder mod and to enable with greater priority to the maps.

It would have to work also with future maps

Excuse for my English, is Italian.

That's kind of like real life then :)

This was my point in the "map scale is too small" thread - the cities are fine, the roads in between cities need to be longer - and for a lot of that space, there's not much scenery change. After all, one bit of desert is much like another - sure, you get different scenery in different places, but in the corn belt, for example, you'd get 50 miles of corn and the occasional barn or farm house.

The most labor intensive bit of map making is the cities and model making and so on. I really hope that SCS see their way to making the map larger scale (bigger) so the distances/journey times are longer. As it is, I've almost finished the official map already - just one more place to deliver to, and already close to 80% roads discovered.

If SCS don't expand the scale, I reckon there'd be scope for a collaborative mod project to build an alternative map :)
