Re: Wishlists Megathread
Since it’s originated in Ireland, one could say we have to wait for Ireland as a potential DLC or whatever but yeah the day is celebrated all over the world now.

Re: Wishlists Megathread
Because of the Chicago River that turns green. When I think of St. Patrick's Day I think of that green river.
Not here in the Netherlands. I know it exists, but apart from that I don't know nothing about St. Patrick's Day.St. Patrick's Day has already become a world holiday.

If there are any Irish Pubs in your area, I’m sure you’ll find someone who will tell you everything about it

Re: Wishlists Megathread
Yeah, but that's not the point. The point is that in the Netherlands and other countries it's not a national holiday. A lot of people might have heard about St. Patrick's Day, but they are not celebrating St. Patrick's Day. And I associate St. Patrick's Day with the green colored river in Chicago; that's all I know of St. Patrick's Day. So, that's why I think it would be a nice event when Illinois has been released, so we actually can see a green river in Chicago.
Re: Wishlists Megathread
In Chicago, they paint the river green on St. Patrick's Day, that's right. However, Illinois is not even in the top 16 states in terms of the number of Americans with Irish roots. Check out the table of states where the percentage of Americans of Irish descent is indicated.States with the largest percentage of Irish Americans in the population:Vinnie Terranova wrote: ↑19 Feb 2023 15:04Because of the Chicago River that turns green. As you can see, Illinois is not even in the top 16. Therefore, it makes no sense to wait for the state of Illinois to appear in the game in order to release an event for St. Patrick's Day in the game. Moreover, the states of Montana and Wyoming are already in the game. And in these states, a considerable percentage of Americans with Irish roots. By the way, the state of Nebraska is planned to be created in the game soon. And in Nebraska, too, a considerable percentage of Americans are of Irish descent. Therefore, nothing prevents you from releasing an event for St. Patrick's Day in the game right now.

I agree with you) It would be just great and creative to see the Green River in Chicago on St. Patrick's Day in the game))) But it's a long time to wait for Illinois in the game. And there are already states in the game where the percentage of Americans with Irish roots is considerable. Well, for example, Halloween. It's not a national holiday. However, there is a Halloween event in the game. Therefore, on St. Patrick's Day, you also need to make an event in the game on a regular basis like Halloween or Valentine's Day or Christmas.Vinnie Terranova wrote: ↑19 Feb 2023 22:01 Yeah, but that's not the point. I agree with you) St. Patrick's Day is now celebrated everywhere) This is a very cheerful spring holiday and that is why it is so loved in the world now. By the way, for ETS 2 there is an addition pack Ireland where, in addition to the truck coloring, there is an accessory to the shamrock cabin. But there is no such supplement for ATS naturally. Although the symbol of St. Patrick's Day is not a shamrock, but a happy quatrefoil))) In the USA, St. Patrick's Day is always celebrated very magnificently. And in Europe, this holiday has become very popular.Bandit & The Snowman wrote: ↑19 Feb 2023 14:35 Since it’s originated in Ireland, one could say we have to wait for Ireland as a potential DLC or whatever but yeah the day is celebrated all over the world now.

Hi, i've been enjoying this game for years. Sorry if this was yet asked, i think a huge improvement in the immersion experience would be to allow modders to use 2 different sets of sounds for the wheels: 1 set for "dry" road and a different, "splashy" one for wet road. Thank you
