SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. This mod adds 29 different Eaton Fuller transmissions with real specifications into the game providing a grand total of 1740 transmission options to choose from. This includes both manual and automated transmissions.

Thats great but to people like me all those numbers and letters are meaningless. I have no clue what they mean.

Well, if we take Eaton RTLO-22918B 18-speed R 19.72 as an example. Eaton is the manufacturer, RTLO-22918B is the model name, 18-speed tells that this transmission has 18 forward gears, R stands for Retarder and 19.72 is the overall ratio of the transmission.
There are more manual models available from Eaton but I didn't make them because the only difference to the ones I've made is that different models are designed for different torque ranges though this is not simulated in the game so there is no need for those models. But on the other hand, I could make some automatic models if wanted. ;)

Sure, though the amount of transmissions will get crazy. :lol:

I will release a new version once ATS 1.2 is out of beta. The mod will then be available on Steam Workshop as well. ;)

awesome. .... so many options, but I really don't know what to choose ...I'm not a REAL trucker
will take some time to test 8-)

any rookiebase option variant available :?: ... fast - medium - slow :lol:

My personal favourite of all the transmissions is the Eaton RTLO-22918B 18-speed 19.72. I use it with the H-shifter & realistic shifter setup (the one already included in the game by SCS). That transmission is suitable for almost any situation as it has 4 reverse gears, 2 crawler gears + 16 gears forward. Good low revs even at 70 MPH (about 1500 RPM at 80 MPH at max gear depending on truck). For heavy haulers I recommend the Eaton RTO-16909ALL 11-speed 35.71 if speed isn't what you need but torque. However, the only way to find the most suitable transmission for your driving style is to simply try them out. :P

Actually for heavy haul I'd recommend the 18 speed, thanks to it's closer gearing, but with a shorter (4.xx differential ratio). The 8LL/9LL-style transmissions are a standard 9 speed box, with extra super-super mineshaft low crawler gear(s)
