Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Daytons never were really popular in the West (in a sharp contrast with the East where spoke wheels were the choice well into the 80s). Still, rims back then weren't quite the same as today: earlier disc wheels were of a so-called "Budd" type, or stud-pilot type, and were made for tube-type tires. They were somewhat prone to cracking around the bolt holes, which was a big reason for their lack of popularity in the Eastern states. 1980s brought a new technology called hub-pilot or "Unimount" wheels that didn't crack like Budds did and quickly became the industry standard. ;)

Yes, Smarty nor anyone else are not obliged to make mods, they do it because they want to, if he decides to finish the mod, well, welcome, I'm in no hurry.

Smarty is very much alive from what I can tell and he can read comments like yours, idk Smarty, but if i were him i'd make the coolest truck mod ever and tease it for a long time, but never release it just to get back to people that have no patience :-)

I hope he's a better person than I am :-) (probably is)
