[2.19] Scania Drivetrain Revision

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

You know, i'm surprised that you did not rename the files for the DC13 Super to replace the engines added by the last update instead of having duplicates

Galimim, what would you recommend as an optimum tyre size to get the most out of the G33 gearbox? I've noticed that the transmission refuses to shift up into overdrive in both this mod and in vanilla, and I can't figure out how to keep the truck in OD without switching to manual.

I'm at 2.59, which is the lowest. It's still not going into OD at 80 or 90 km/h. It wants to stay at 12th gear.

I also use 2.59 with 295/80 on front and rear and he goes into OD at 90km/h.

That's because you're using a diff ratio designed for lowdeck chassis and tiny tires on a standard size truck. You won't be able to shift in to OD with that combo until you're well above 90 km/h.

You want the 2.92 or 3.08 diff ratio for standard size (315/70) wheels, and slightly higher ratios for the 315/80 wheels. The really high ratios are for heavy haul trucks, where you're flooring it to hit 80.

Cheers for the information, thank you. Is there a guide on optimizing gear ratios, or a 'best practice'? I haven't been able to find it myself online.
